I got the Baby Jogger City Select (in black) Grin

I went for the Baby Jogger City Select as I wanted a narrow pushchair which had different seating positions. It is mighty long, but I didn't want my children to be on top of each other.

So... the 2012 model colours are out, therefore John Lewis didn't need their display model any more therefore I was able to buy it instead and saved money Grin

Baby Jogger City Select Pushchair:
New: £499.99
Display: £369.99

Baby Jogger City Select Carrycot Kit
New: £89.99
Display: £65

Baby Jogger City Select Second Seat Kit
New: £149.95
Display: £65

So if I had bought it all new it would have cost me an eye watering £739.93, whereas I got it for £499.99, plus I had John Lewis vouchers worth £62 (we had unopened Chopping boards from our wedding 2 years ago that they still sell so I took them back), so I paid £437.99 Grin

In conclusion, I am one happy bunny Grin

My motto when shopping: "If you don't ask, you don't get", and to be honest the worst they can say is "no".

Are you my DP?! Wink

I've just told him about your bargain, he said you are a "good Mauritian bargain hunter" (like he is!)

I think it is the way I was bought up.

I was bought up to only spend what I have (no one in my family has debt- apart from normal mortgage and student loan), and to always negotiate when shopping :)
