I think I want two double buggies - come and tell me which ?

I've got 9 month old twins and my BJC Select is getting too heavy, so I'm thinking of trading it in.

I think I might end up with two buggies as I don't think I can get everything I want in one buggy.

Buggy no 1 is for use at home and will be the one I use the most - 3 school runs a day. It must be 75 cms wide or narrower, pref air tyres for ease of pushing, and both babies to have a decent view, so probably a side by side. Weight and fold size less important as it stays up in the shed.

Buggy no 2 is for the car, so weight and fold size important as my boot isn't huge. Pref folds in one piece. Will use it less so air tyres etc less important. Tired a Maclaren stroller in Mothercare the other day and I didn't like having single handles so far apart - it felt weird, so that probably rules out an umbrella fold.

I'm thinking bjcm for buggy 2, but what would you get for buggy no 1?

Oh, and I'm very tempted by the BJCM GT but every website I look at has the width down differently. My gate is 75.5 cms so the buggy cannot be wider than 75cms!

He BJCMGT is the same width as the BJCM, so if the latter fits, then the former will fit too. The only "possible" addition to width is the handbrake which is near the top, but in reality, it's been tilted round so it doesn't add to the width. Buy one, carry it and a blanket to your gate, and try it out!

Thank you Tiggy. Have you seen the BJCMGT? Will I love it?!

Yes I have seen the GT. I dont know if you will love it or not, but if you like the BJCM then I think its far better. Its just got the extra features like the air tyres, adjustable handlebar, handbrake, bigger seat etc.

I had a BJCM single for DS2 and I loved the fold and the hoods. I'm concerned though that with the weight of twins, air type tyres might be better, and it's got the same handbrake as my Select, which I really like too.

Is there anything else you can think of that might suit me? Or is the GT my best shot? A BJCM does fit through my gate as I tried a friends, so it's good to knew that the GT is no wider - thank you Smile

I loved the TFK Twinner Twist Duo and Easywalker Duo for walking with. The TFK isn't bad for the car either but there's something easy about flicking open a Baby Jogger!
