ICandy Peach to Blossom - confused! What on earth do I need?!

I have the original iCandy Peach and my new baby is due in Sept so I want to convert it to a Blossom.

I am looking to have the seat unit on top and the maxicosi car seat at the bottom. I'm thinking that by the time the baby is out if the carseat (6 months) he/she will be able to go into the main sear unit, as dd (who will then be 2.9) should be walking most of the time. Or is that naive?

So 2 questions really: what do I need to convert to Blossom? I know I need some kind of adaptor kit and then lower maxi cosi adaptors. Do I need a new seat unit (upper unit??)

And do you think when the baby is 6 months and dd is 2.9 I should get another seat unit? (lower seat??). So effectively the current seat on my chassis will be redundant?

So confused!

No, it doesn't work like that, you need the blossom carrycot, or at the very least the blossom kit and use a newborn wedge in the fully reclined seat. The way iCandy sell the peach and the multiple purchases needed to make the peach a double are a big drawback for me.

On the up side you can sell your main carrycot to buy a blossom one and the blossom one will fit in single mode too (although Icandy say it isn't "the most suitable" or some such). The peach 1 lower carrycot didn't physically fit in single mode so if you wanted to use single or double at different times you had to keep two carrycots.

I had a peach one 3 years or so ago, used a wedge in the lower seat but dd2 was 3 months not newborn so didn't need quite such a cushy environment.
