Any thoughts on Red Kite Push Me Uno?

DC is due in August and I have just managed to persuade DH that it's not that far away Smile so we have been looking at the options. We don't jog or do a lot of off-road walking, and public transport round here is pretty bad, so the main things are for it to fit in the car and be easy to fold.

We aren't well off and can't afford all these wonderful Bugaboos, Maclarens, etc. And I don't want to spend huge amounts on something we probably won't use for all that long, as I suspect a lightweight stroller will be better once DC is old enough. Also I'd like to use a sling - argh, it's so hard to know what the best options are when you've never done this before! Anyway, the Red Kite gets a reasonable review on Which and costs under £150; has anyone tried it?

Honestly, buy the one off stroller to start with. Find yourself a good deal on a Baby Jogger City Mini whether new or second hand, add a carrycot or cocoon or soft cot if you wish (but not essential) and you will never want for a lightweight stroller, you will have a very useful little pushchair with a lifetime warranty on the chassis, and at the end you should get most of your money back (if not ll if you bought second hand) or a good chunk instead of simply throwing a lesser quality pushchair in the bin. At £150 as a budget you should be able to find something on EBay or Preloved or on the pushchair board on here.

Perfect :O

Thank you both. I do like the look of the City Mini; however it doesn't seem to have an adjustable handle, which could be an issue for us as DH is 6'3" and I'm only 5'4". I must try to find a local stockist so we can have a play! Anyone have any other ideas if we find the handle is a deal-breaker?

My DH is just over 6' and I am 5'2" so the handle height was a concern for us too... however, as I was the main user I took priority LOL! I haven't ever had adjustable handle height (only position) and it hasn't been a problem for him.

Thanks, that's good to know.
