Any bugaboo bee experts out there?

What is the difference between the original bugaboo bee and the so-called bugaboo bee plus? I bought my bee in Jan 2011; I don't know if it's a 'bugaboo bee plus' but I don't think so. I now want a new canopy (hood) for it but they all seem to be advertised as "bugaboo bee plus" - which I suspect means they may not fit my model. Am I going to be stuck with my old bright pink canopy forever? Any advice?

I'm not an expert but I think they introduced the Plus in 2010 which replaced the original so if you bought new in 2011, it should be the Plus.

I think the Plus has extendable back and sear??? You could always pop into a store stocking them (some Mothercares etc) and check with them.

Solid white inside wheels are bee, bee + has spokes.

If you bought yours new in 2011 then I suspect its the Bee Plus. As others have said does your seat extend ie grow bigger? Also if you simply do a Google for bugaboo Bee Plus you will see loads of photos of the Bee Plus. Does your hood look like these? Or if you put Bugaboo Bee 2009 in, you will see the older style hood which has a different shape and comes down lower at the sides. The wheels are slightly different too. The older Bee has solid white wheels, the Bee Plus has spokes.

Either way, you can buy new Bee Plus hoods easily enough, but there is a huge second hand (or even new!) market on Ebay and on Facebook forums for buying and selling hoods, or you can even get a custom hood made.
