I have waited for so long , and have been using a petite star zia as my travel system had to go for repair . I rather like the little zia . Let's hope it was money well spent ..eek!!

Has it arrived yet? Interested to know what you think of it as I have pre ordered one but won't be receiving it until end of April.

bishboschone · 04/04/2012 23:51

Well... It was actually not great , I got it out the box and it had scuffs and marks all over it . It is being collected tomorrow . I didn't dare try it out in case they wouldn't take it back but all I can say is it's big!! It seemed to push pretty well and the basket looked fab but for £350 I want a perfect pushchair . Back to the drawing board Sad

Oh dear that must have been a disappointment.Where did you order it from?I hate my present pushchair(m&p sola) I have high hopes for the bjcm gt!

bishboschone · 05/04/2012 00:15

I won't say the name of the shop as they have been very good and it's not their fault it's baby joggers . I was very disappointed but i think it's a lot of money for a stroller and expect it to be perfect .

Yes I would want it to be perfect when it is brand new.Have no personal experience of baby joggers(yet) but from what I have read on here I thought they would be on the ball with their quality control.

I am guessing you are in the US or have imported your GTs? They don't arrive in the UK for a few more weeks.

bishboschone · 05/04/2012 10:51

No tiggy winkle , Im in uk .. We had a few pm's earlier in the month Smile

Hi tiggy,
Mine is on the way too , posted today from uk to me in Ireland

Can't wait ! Smile

rice33 · 05/04/2012 19:32

Bish

Why didn't you want a mark/scuff free replacement??

bishboschone · 05/04/2012 19:50

Because the owner of the shop said the display one came out of the box like that so it put me off .

tiggywunkle have you actually seen one anywhere yet?I was all set to get the nipper v2 but got put off with the brake problems. How do you think it will compare to the nipper?

Tiggywunkle · 05/04/2012 20:28

They are on the way...an early surprise :)
I saw one at Harrogate and its really just a BJCM with the bigger seat and best features eg adjustable handlebar, handbrake, and better basket access. I'm not sure how to compare the two TBH. The Nipper I am sure is lighter but for me the BJCMGT has so much more to offer whether it's the better recline, greater handlebar range, bigger hood, bigger seat etc. I love the storage on the Nipper and I suspect the Nipper woud be better off serious road.

bishboschone · 05/04/2012 20:48

The basket was fab on the gt but overall it is big! I am small but it felt bigger than the previous model.

BJCM next to the BJCMGT

tooloudhere · 07/04/2012 17:32

I have just had a play with the gt at a pram shop today and was very impressed. I have purchased and sold quickly two bjcm over the years. The gt has from first impressions fixed the things that annoyed me. The handle is much better, shape and the adjustable. I found the bjcm heavy to steer but the bigger and forever air wheels seemed much better and were more in proportion for the size of the pushchair.
Even the fabrics seemed better quality and were nicely padded.

I was impressed but am holding out for the versa, I just hope it as nicely finished and has the gt wheels. Oh and the shop model didn't seem scuffed ( and was cheaper than £350!) I checked . it was also next to a 4 wheel bjcm and didn't seem any bigger. If you haven't had a bjcm before I could see how you thought it was big, for a small fold they are not small pushchairs.

bishboschone · 07/04/2012 20:12

To be fair i paid £330, and I'm 5 ft so most things are bigger than me .Wink

I think my height at 5'2 stopped me being able to push the bjcm comfortably making it feel heavy due to the handle not being adjustable and that arched shape, so i see where you are coming from. I did think that if you are looking at that sort of pushchair the gt will do everything you need rather well. I need rearfacing for ds for other reasons but if I didn't I would have purchased this yesterday. Btw it was £285 at pram shop yesterday and the bjcm4 was £225 which I thought were very good prices.

bishboschone · 08/04/2012 10:35

Wow , that is cheap .. Where is said pram shop?

Bish , my GT is arriving Wednesday and I got it for £264 from practicalpushchair.co.uk , which I thought was a fab price and Caroline there was great to deal with Smile

bishboschone · 08/04/2012 14:05

Thanks , I'll have a look at that .

It was at baby equipment complete nr rugby, they have an Internet site but are a bit cheaper inshore normally.

SailorVie · 14/04/2012 09:09

I got my GT delivered on Thursday 5th April from Practical Pushchairs. Mind you, I think the OP paid too much for her pushchair. I paid £264 for ours, it arrived in perfect condition. I also got the hard bodied carrycot to use on the GT chassis for the next few months.
It's a lovely looking pushchair, really pleased with it.
