Bee vs Zapp Xtra vs ?

DC2 is on the way and I'm looking for something lightweight, rear-facing and suitable from birth without a carrycot. The two options I've come across so far are the Bugaboo Bee and the Quinny Zapp Xtra.

I like the Bee because it also folds in one piece and the newborn insert looks quite comfy.

I like the Zapp Xtra because it looks unfussy and is a lot cheaper than the Bee.

Any other recommendations or deciding factors between the 2?

How soon do you need it? There is new stuff coming out mid to later on this year - Njoy Bubble, babystyle oyster gem (although this possibly isn't suitable from birth without a carrycot).. other things I should be able to remember but can't!

Graco Evo? Lightweight, lie flat seat and reversible. Folds in one piece with the seat facing forwards (but not parent facing) but it's wider than the bee.

Sure someone will be along with more ideas soon.. Grin

Thanks Ihateparties. I don't need it until autumn this year so have absolutely ages. I'm also waiting to see what the iCandy Strawberry will be like.

How old is your DC1, just out of interest? I'm racking my brains on what to do with a 2.8yr age gap.

The Mamas&Papas Mylo is rear-facing, LIGHT, suitable from birth without a carrycot (not a bucket seat, the back reclines independently from the base of the seat, and the footrest has options too), good suspension, better wheels than the bee, nicer seat than the zapp 2 (which doesn't fold in one piece with the seat).
The basket is smaaaalll. The fold is EXCELLENT, very small, easy, and ooh so lovely.
But mamas and papas customer service leaves so much to be desired. Probably not cheaper than the Bee either, in fact...I think it may be more expensive. Other than that though! :o

Thanks Snapes. TBH after all the stories I've heard about the M+P customer service there is no way I would buy a pram or any other big purchase from them. Shame really.

Tarty DS will be 2.9. I'm planning on just getting a buggy board.

Loved the Bee! Very nippy and great for tight/narrow spaces. But depends on how old DC1 is. Do they still need a pushchair? Can they walk or use a buggy board for longer distances? You may want to consider a double buggy.
