Just started looking for a pram, pushchair car seat combo, that has to be able to be parent facing, lightweight and compact when folded, and have come across the mamas and papas Zoom. Really like the look of it and they have a great package where you get everything including carrycot and car seat for just over £400. Anyway wanted views from anyone who has one regarding if it's any good and what if any problems they have experienced.

I had the Sola which is very similar but with 4 wheels and I think it has a frame similar to the Luna (which I've also had)

The Sola was great, lovely to push, big seat unit and hood. The carrycot is massive, my son was 9 months when he outgrew it. I didn't leave him in it that long though!

The only things I didn't like about the Sola which might not apply to the Zoom, the raincover was a bit of a pain to get on and had no zip so had to keep taking it off in and out of shops. The straps didn't go very long but long enough to last to at least 2 and the footmuff was a bit pointless, expensive and not very thick.

I only sold it to buy an Urbo, that's a great pram too.

Wow waftycrank you've had a fair few pushchairs lol thanks for the info Smile I also like the look if the sola but the package for the zoom makes it a good proposition.

Not half as many as some of the ladies on here! Have a play with the Zoom, the only thing that put me off was that it felt a little wobbly when balanced on the front wheel like when getting up kerbs however that's such a small thing it might not bother you. I'm just not a fan of 3 wheelers.

Don't know if I'm replying to this too late but I used to work for M & P and when I found I was pregnant after I left I bought the Zoom. My LO is now 5 weeks old and I love it - not too heavy but feels sturdy, easy to push and easy to fold. It is a bit wide at the back and a bit big for a small car but the positives outtweigh the negatives by far - great package price too. If you have an M&P outlet near you go and talk to them as they sell refurbs - nothnig wrong with them they're mostly prams that have been used for catalogue photos / trade shows etc and they then sell them through the outlets. Got mine at 40% off and it still had the foam packaging on it!
Also - M&P have a bad reputation for service and having worked there I would say there are some issues but there are also a LOT of very stupid customers who pile dozens of shopping bags on the handles, attach buggy boards incorrectly and never bother cleaning or oiling the chassis then wonder why the chassis starts to buckle....
Look after your pushchair and it will last - I love my Zoom!
