Pushchairs
want to get a pushchair for my BIL and SIL

My dh's brother and his wife are pregnant with their first. They live in middle east and things like pushchairs are expensive there. We want to buy the pushchair for them as a gift and bring when we visit over Easter. It's been a while since I even thought about pushchairs! Can anyone recommend a good pushchair which can be used from birth for around 200-300 pounds (and we can also take on plane with us so not super heavy)? Thanks

Aren't you lovely :)
Baby Jogger City Mini or Mini GT. Its easy to use. It's got a huge hood for shade. Good basket. I bet it would pack into a suitcase too. Fantastic pushchair!

Have they given you any indication of what they want? How/where will they be using it? Will they use public transport? What sort of terrain will they use it on? Will they want the baby to face them from newborn and/or once they're sitting up? Would you buy second hand? And will it need to be able to convert to a double?

They were talking about the Peg Perego Easy Drive but I don't see it stocked anywhere here

It looks like that's the Mamas and Papas Pliko Switch in the UK. I wouldn't get one personally, but at least you wouldn't be blamed for the choice.

Baby Jogger City Mini based on the Middle East location:
Huge great hood for keeping the sun off, and a fully mesh rear section when reclined for maximum airflow in hot climes.
Folds one handed and is light and compact for travelling.
I miss mine!

Soooo, they don't want the Quinny Buzz and they're nervous about the baby jogger because they can't find it stocked where they are and want to test it. They suggested the Inglesina Avio. Anyone heard of it? I can only see it stocked online and not in any of the major stores - adn we need it by Thursday!!

Inglesinas aren't very common in the UK and we don't get everything as it costs so much to safety test them to UK standards.
The Avio has a similar look to the Maxi Cosi Mila in my eyes. Do they not mind about the small hard wheels on the ones they're looking at? My suggestion would probably be a BabyStyle Oyster but I've heard they're hard to get hold of at the moment.
