Have almost decided on this, looking for a second hand one on ebay, so it won't be new, probably around 2009 onwards I guess, but would you recommend terrain or urban? live at beach and go walking up hills etc, not using public transport.

I think either would do for hills and the beach, but for serious off then I would go with the Terrain...if that can't handle anything, then I don't know what else would!

Off roading that was before my iPad decided to delete it!

I have a terrain and it is brilliant. Having had puschairs which lock from swivel to fixed, there is no contest against a proper fixed wheel on rough terrain.

I use mine on pavements too and you will perfect the 'push down on handle & spin' turn.

Mine is still fab for a 5 and 3 year old (1.25 mile rough terrain/hilly walk to pres/school). I will miss it when it goes Sad

The latest Terrains have swivel / lockable forward and backwards wheels.

Do you know about them being bought out by phil and teds around 2009ish? Reports quality took a dive so oddly older ones are a better bet.

Only had Urbans (double then single) but think the main difference is terrain front wheel is fixed whereas urban is fixed or swivel. So for me, the urban was the best of both worlds. Think terrain basket is metal not fabric on older ones?

OctopusSting · 22/03/2012 18:19

I have a metal basket Smile

Can I ask how much you paid surf? Just that I have a very similar sounding one with 2 carrycots which I will be selling by the end of the year and would be great to know a ballpark figure Smile

Octo - you can search completed listings in advanced search on eBay. Gives you an idea of price. I have a double urban to list but need to tidy it up first.

Lastyearsmodel-- how much would u sell for if not tidied up ??
