Quinny Buzz 3 - any good?

Have been looking at the Quinny Buzz 3 as a possible pushchair. It seems to have some good features like the pneumatic opening, folding, etc, but I'm struggling to find many useful reviews. Anybody got one / know what they're like?

Hmmm....I have one and have mixed feelings about it. The seats (there are two) are excellent and supportive. The XL one is large. The footrest is good for an older child. The fold needs a good push down. The hood is an odd shape but works. It moves up the frame too for an older child. The Buzz is lovely to walk with but I struggle with it in shops. I couldn't get it into a swimming changing room cubicle this week and had to swap pushchairs just to go into two shops. The front wheel sticks out a long way and I keep bumping into people. The front wheel sticks at an angle too if i stop sideways and then try to start again. The basket looks a good size but it's so low to the ground that anything of weight would drag. I could just get my DDs swimming bag in - which isn't much! The Buzz box is good as a changing bag. The Buzz is very back heavy so that it feels tippy. It's one of the few pushchairs I daren't hang my handbag off the back. Folded it's large and heavy to lift. But it does fold as one piece. As a walking pushchair the Buzz is fine but for the car or shops its far too big for me.

Wow, thanks for your help Tiggy. That's really comprehensive! Thinking we might struggle with the buzz if it's not the best around shops, etc. Having looked at some other threads, we're getting quite taken with the Joolz Day, which seems to have quite a few fans! I guess we'll have to get out and do some testing Smile

I love mine and felt very safe with it when DD was a baby. Fab steering and really easy to put up and down. I bought the shopping basket to go underneath as you can't hand bags off the handle. DD is two and we have just swapped her into a Maclaren techno (sis is inheriting the Buzz). It feels miles more flimsy and doesn't wheel nearly as well.
But it isn't great in smaller spaces!

I have loved mine also, a 2011 model which has been great. The 2011 no longer comes with 2 seats just one which is suitable from birth onwards. Also no longer comes with buzz box but does come with basket. Basket is quite small but not found it an issue. Folding has been easy and I tend to put in boot in 2 pieces. Not found tipping a problem and have hung bag on using fab jjcole bag clips (you can get these on amazon highly recommend). Steering ok one handed even. Bit tight in v small spaces but no worse than other prams that friends have. Have got 4 wheel bit on front (ordered separately) and have loved it) Only issue, hence my visit to this board is that quite heavy now DD is almost 1 and thinking of a bjcm...

I have the Joolz and Buzz here side by side and (hides away from Prams and Hypatia) - in fact I have literally folded them both up minutes ago - and the Joolz seems pretty wide too. It looks as big as the Buzz width wise but also higher. It strikes me very much as a walking pushchair. I can't see me taking it many places In the car TBH and in the same way I have been struggling with the Buzz, I can see the Joolz giving me difficulties. The Joolz seat is fabulous though. Ultimately it depends what you do with a pushchair and where you go. Don't get me wrong, I am very used to wide, and even double pushchairs, but both the Buzz and Joolz just feel wide and big for singles. I am off to look some measurements up because it could all be perceptional :)

Thanks again Tiggy. I have to admire your dedication to the cause! If you're not already, you should be making some money out if your research Smile

Lolol it would be nice but it's a labour of love and complete and utter madness at present :) But it's fun and keeps me out of mischief!

BTW I have just done you a set of photos of the Joolz next to the Buzz. I will link once they are live but it may be a few days. It was getting a tad dark too so I don't know how they will cone out. The Joolz seat is massive with a huge long 'growing' footrest but I am finding it a awkward to fold and unfold. I need to talk to the Joolz fan club to see if I am doing anything wrong.
