Really good off-roader

Ok so the Herqules and I may be about to fall out. Its a lovely pram but it doesn't seem good off road - the tyres seem to just scoot around on the mud rather than getting any grip.

So...

I need a really good off-roader. It only needs to do off-road as I've got a bjcm.

Which are the best out there? Will be buying 2nd hand!

mountain buggy are the best off roaders, it's what they are built for Smile

How many pushchairs is this now Daisy? Wink Baby Jogger do some good off roaders too I believe.

If you like your BJCM then why not get an BJ Elite to go with it, or even combine the two and get the new GT?

Grin to ever expanding pram collection

I would kill for a baby jogger off road but I'm not sure I can afford it. Mountain Buggy is tempting - any particular one?

We're getting on well with the urban detour so I could get another one of these. They're very cheap on eBay - are the hoods larger on later models?

OR

The Herqules has removable wheels which are very fat with solid tyres. I'm wondering if it's possible to swap the wheels for some taller air tyres ones for a better push... Hmm

Or could a set of GT wheels fit the city mini? I just don't know if I can justify the price of a GT Sad

You could get a Baby Jogger City Classic second hand? Or an older one like this?

Safmellow · 08/03/2012 16:58

Maxi Cosi Mura 3 or 4?

HypatiaTheProcrastinator · 08/03/2012 16:58

GT wheels won't fit the City Mini unfortunately.

I took the urban detour today and it's bloody marvellous!!! I think the herqules may have just been made redundant.

I do love the look of those classic baby joggers though, how small do they fold?

Lol problem solved then :)
I would think the classic wouldn't fold much bigger than the City Mini. It tends to be the wheels that add the bulk and they should pop off fairly easily?
