Buggy boards and baby city jogger

I really want a new pushchair and quite fancy or like the look of the baby city mini jogger. Basically it needs to be compatible from birth so I can rotate a newborn with my 2 year old DD with the help of a sling or buggy board.

Does any one have any experience of using this pushchair with a buggy board? Or any other 3 wheeler type pushchairs with a buggy board?

Prefer 3 wheeler type type pushchairs as moveability tends to be better in my opinion.

The lascal website says that their buggy board has been awarded 7/10 for fit/compatability with this pushchair although it says that the headspace is poor.

DD will be 2.5 years when baby is born and is tall for her age (98th centile). Can't quite visualise where her head will be. For example will it be underneath or behind the handle bar? For saftery reasons they recommend they are in front of the bar. Is this right?

Any advice gratefully recieved.

I am due to take delivery of my BJCM4 on Friday and want to get a buggy board to go with it. I think I am going to try Baby Joggers own brand as I am hoping it will be a better fit? Not sure what the handle type is on the 3 wheel version but on what I am getting it is a fixed height single handle which could make it difficult to use a board, but I do intend using it only very occassionally as it will be my buggy for in the car.

I also have an out n about 360 that I tried a Lascal board on and hated it - it made the pushchair feel long somehow and I think it would have been difficult for my 3 yo to be in a good position (he wouldn't have got inside the bar and outside wouldn't have been very comfortable for me I don't think?).

If you're not sorted and I get mine and the BJ buggy board I'll let you know how I get on with that!

Good luck

You could also look at a Mountain Buggy Freerider scooter. The BJCM connector has recently been released.

curiousparent think the handle bar is the same. Let me know how you get on.
I didn't realise they did their own buggy board. Will definatly look into that.
Thanks.

I happened to see a bjcm with a lascal maxi buggyboard on today, the childs head was definitely behind the handlebar (I don't think even a smaller child could go inside the bar from the looks of it). Also the pusher was having to stand quite a way back from the buggy, it did not look at all comfortable but I am only going on the look, it may be just fine to use? Would assume their own board would be a better fit and an easier push.

Update re my BJCM4 - it arrived on Friday, but was the 2011 version and not the 2012 version I ordered (and paid for!).

After many phone calls I had to pay for another one to be delivered today, which I was assured the manager would personally check before it got sent out and it arrived this morning - wrong one again! Aaargh!!

So now I have 2 to return and no BJCM4.

Gutted (:

I have it!

Finally, my BJCM4 has arrived.

It took 4 attempts - the first 3 delivered were 2011 versions but today my 2012 version has arrived.

So pleased :)
