Buggy board? Opinions please

Dd1 is 2 but quite big (as in 99th centile for height!) so has grown out of the pushchair pretty much. She mostly refuses to get in it anyway and can walk quite a distance but obv does get tired.

Now dd2 has come along it's fairly impossible to carry dd1 when she's had enough so I was thinking of getting a buggy board as I just don't think we'll get the use out of a double buggy. Does this sound like a good plan?

Cheers me dears

How far do you go on average trip? Just think that on buggy board at 2 dc may play up/get tired if on longer trips. Also what kind of buggy do you have as depending on style you can end up doing a sort of John Wayne walk or hurting your back pushing at an angle.

Those are the things to balance up but agree with your logic (and went for a new bugaboo bee with board for dd2 and dd1 who is 3 and only needs buggy for occasional longer journey).

I loved my buggy board, walked long distances with it and had no problems - it was great!
Remember the DD will get very cold in bad weather as she won't be keeping warm under a blanket or walking, though.

not 'the' DD,just DD.Sorry!

I've got a petite star kurvi that I use most of the time and I think a buggy board should fit it, although none specifically say either way.

I have always used a buggy board. I think they are the greatest invention ever.
If you are worried about the older child napping as well you could always keep a sling under the push chair for the baby.

One of the websites has a really comprehensive list

missnevermind · 24/02/2012 15:44

www.buggyboard.info/list.php

I on iPhone so I dont know if that worked.

Thanks for the link missnevermind

Doesn't have our pushchair on it but one of the Quinny ones is similar and if it fits that I think it should be OK.

Well no one has said they're rubbish so I think I'll take the plunge and get one. Thank you!
