What double buggy's might I like if I love my BabyJogger Elite?

You helped me out in deciding for the Elite last year. We love it, I've just got my BFP so just need ideas so I can start looking/thinking.

DD1 will be 24 months, she is a whopper of a baby. We'd like all terrain (not that adventurous but more than urban use, rough paths, grass etc) I don't know where to start right now. Oh and we are both very tall, Thanks!

The double elite is being discontinued isn't it for being too wide - or did I make that up!?

No, the Elite being discontinued because its very heavy, not wide - but its fantastic especially for older / bigger children. But the Baby Jogger City Mini GT takes a lot of the advantages of the Elite onto the City Mini chassis but with smaller forever air tyres, bigger seats, better basket access, handbrake etc. so the advantages without the weight.

Thanks Tiggy, is it heavy to push or do you mean folded to pick up, that is would it be good for me to look out for a used one? The BJCM GT double is that out already and have you seen it in the flesh? TIA

It's heavy to pick up - its a fair chunk...but you an use the pull handles to lift it with which does make things easier. It is fine to push. Not light but not heavy either. I did find that typical of larger wheeled pushchairs (mainly three wheelers though) if you stop with the wheels sideways then you need to wiggle the wheels straight to get going again. The seats are huge, and the leg length is great. The GT double arrives, I think at the end of March. I won't see it until then but I think it will be as good as the Elite but lighter.
