Would you buy GT wheels to go on a Baby Jogger Versa if they fitted?

I'm hoping you all would and BJ will see there is demand for them. :)

In my opinion, a Versa GT would be the best single pushchair ever! :o Personally, I wouldn't buy a Versa without the GT option as I really don't like the tiny hard wheels on them at the moment.

BJ Versa

If you click on the green reviews and information tab, you can see the Versa with GT wheels and a video demonstration of the Versa.

So what do you think? Would you want the GT wheels on it?

Yes definitely. I think it would turn the Versa from what looks like it being a superb pushchair into the perfect pushchair :o

AnEcumenicalMatter · 22/02/2012 17:34

Yes!!

The Versa is one of the top contenders on my list but only if I can have it with GT wheels.

WhenDoISleep · 22/02/2012 17:40

Absolutely. I also think it would be perfect with the GT wheels. I added my name to the pre-order list that one of the retailers is running (thanks for the info Tiggywunkle) and checked about the tires and was told

"[I] have enquired about the Gt wheels and been told that at the moment they will not be available for the Versa."

I'm hoping that Baby Jogger will see the demand (or that GT tires will fit anyway) and make them availible from release (or just after).

The pram I already have from DC1 (Bebcar Stylo AT) has air tyres and they were fab - have been over allsorts of terrain with no issues and gave a really good ride for DC. The main reason I'm looking at the Versa is basically the complete impractical nature of the Bebecar for going in the boot of the car (not an issue with DC1 in Central London), plus the fact it gives me the parent facing option, with the practicality of the one piece fold.

ItsMyLastOne · 22/02/2012 18:56

I'd only buy with the GT wheels too, otherwise it's not really any better than other parent facing pushchairs IMO.

OnePramWoman · 22/02/2012 19:27

yes i also agree, i would only buy with the GT wheels, no GT wheels and i could find something better, but with GT wheels it will be the perfect pushchair.

FriggFRIGG · 22/02/2012 19:43

YY,I've been looking at the and a few others due out in the summer (hopefully) Id buy the versa without a backwards glance if it could have GT wheels...

TruthSweet · 22/02/2012 19:53

A Versa with Air tyres would make it the perfect pushchair for me so I would definitely be interested in it if Baby Jogger sold it with a choice of air tyres or plastic.

suzie38 · 22/02/2012 20:02

I'd love a Versa with air tyres as well as currently none of my collection have them, and i do miss the pushchairs that did have air tyres, so the GT with all it's other fantastic feature would be a brilliant buy.

ItsMyLastOne · 22/03/2012 13:49

I just posted on another thread about this. I really really hope they'll put gt wheels on the uk Versa. I know they're not doing it on the us version though.

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 22/03/2012 14:26

Let's put it this way, I wouldn't get a versa unless it had air tyres!
I really like my all terrain buggies because of he air tyres...this is also to do with my lifestyle...we like to get about in the countryside or the beach whenever possible. However I do sometimes wish we had a parent facing option, particularly in built up urban areas where traffic noise can hinder communication between myself and my little one if we are not even facing each other!
A buggy that had air tyres, folded compactly and easily in a trice, and could parent face too would be a dream come true! I really do not like the eva foam tyres they put on the BJCM though, so if the versa had those I wouldn't buy it. Having the right tyres makes a big difference to the way it pushes and where you can take it (park/ country track/ woodland etc).

Tiggywunkle · 22/03/2012 15:11

Please reply to this thread if you want the option of a Versa with 'forever air' tyres in the UK. They are going to Europe but not the UK - yet - but the decision gets made in the next few days!!! A Versa with air tyres sounds like the dream pushchair!!

HypatiaTheProcrastinator · 22/03/2012 15:51

If they don't bring them, I can imagine a lot of people arranging their holidays in mainland Europe and coming back with a Versa GT! Wink

I agree with Monkey I wouldn't buy it unless it had air tyres.

suzie38 · 22/03/2012 16:46

It might persuade me to buy one LAST pushchair!!!

easterbunnywantssomeicandy · 22/03/2012 17:03

i have had almost all brands of pushchair, but i have never owned a baby jogger, however i would if the versa had gt wheels

We heard today that Baby Jogger were going to ship some Versas with GT tyres to Europe and got all excited. So phoned up the UK Rep who said that they aren't coming here as yet, but the decision gets made this weekend. So yes, believe me, we will be linking them this thread because hopefully we can get some made for the UK market too :)

I'm with the others, the air tyres make it a different beast. Especially if it remains the promised 56cm wide. A narrow, air tyre, easy fold reversible seat buggy = pram nirvana in my head!

ItsMyLastOne · 23/03/2012 10:08

Last one suzie?! Hmm Wink

This is getting me excited now. I really want one!

Daisybell1 · 23/03/2012 10:40

Hell yeah!!!

easterbunnywantssomeicandy · 23/03/2012 12:19

its got to have gt wheels, its just got to, Grin suzies last one Grin

Tiggywunkle · 23/03/2012 18:04

Suzie!! Are you ok? LAST ONE????!! Shock
LOL at Itsmylastone! Does he really need to be drunk??!!

bunnynose · 23/03/2012 19:49

The Versa has to have GT wheels to make it the perfect pushchair!

The normal BJCM wheels wear out too quickly and they pick up lots of little stones that get stuck in the rubber.

I would not look at another pushchair if the Versa came with GT wheels, as it would be perfect from birth to when the child no longer needs a pushchair. I would also recommend it to everyone I know who was looking for a pushchair. Baby Jogger could have the best selling pushchair ever if they put the GT wheels on the Versa!!

suzie38 · 24/03/2012 10:34

Last one indeed...Don't forget that money i owe!!!
