Hurray, I have mine on order too and can't wait :)

I hate to disappoint slightly but the first delivery of Shadow and Bamboo is due now at the end of April. The date got put back about 10 days ago. The Crimson won't be here until much later.

maydaychild · 20/02/2012 15:25

OMG googled and watched demo on Utube, am seriously jealous.

But when is the Citi Verso coming to UK? got to have this!

skyberry · 20/02/2012 15:36

OOH want one too!
Where did you pre order it from?
Need a pushchair I can use from birth with a buggy board. Don't like plastic hard wheels this has air tyres doesn't it?

Tiggywunkle · 20/02/2012 15:38

There's no date for the Versa yet other than this summer. The Versa is probably near enough the ultimate in pushchairs with GT wheels on it!! I can not wait!!! It's sooooo exciting. I was watching the YouTube videos last night too. There's a great one next to the City Select which s a fantastic pushchair as a single but noticeably long because obviously it concerts into the tandem. But a City Select crossed with a City Mini is a Tiggywunkle's dream!!!

bishboschone · 20/02/2012 15:38

Www.discountbabyequip.co.uk .... They are only getting 2 of each colour . I got the 2nd black one Smile

And it's only£329.99 . I was expecting it to be £350

Owner of the shop said mid march today but as long as I have it on order and it's here for may ( holiday ) I'm ok with that . Of course I want it now!!!!! Really.

bishboschone · 20/02/2012 15:43

It has 'forever air ' tyres . Plastic that mimics air I think .

Tiggywunkle · 20/02/2012 16:51

Its definitely the end of April :)
Yes they are 'forever air' tyres.

Oooh I want one. My ideal buggy but a few months too late. We have the City Elite. So tempted to sell it and get City Mini GT instead but I doubt DH will approve. Not even used the seat of City Elite yet - still using carrycot.

So tempted. Is the price about £330 everywhere?

bishboschone · 21/02/2012 14:25

I'm not sure , I was expecting £350 so I'm chuffed ...

Tiggywunkle · 21/02/2012 15:32

£329.99 is RRP. I am hoping to replace my Elite and / or BJCM4 too :)
But I have preordered a Versa too...and don't know what I will end up with lol

dldl · 21/02/2012 17:20

Decided to mention the idea to DH at lunch today....wasn't as bad a response as I expected. He said we won't pre-order it but once it's out in a couple of months we'll think about it!

Don't think I'll get away with the Versa as it's due to be much much more money! The City Mini GT has potential - I told DH it's lighter and fits in the car without having to remove a wheel, and has all the features we chose the Elite for over the mini!

WhenDoISleep · 21/02/2012 17:24

Tiggywunkle - can I be cheeky and ask who you have ordered the Versa through? And how much it was?

It looks ideal for what I want a bit later in the year when DS2 has out grown the carrycot portion of our pram.

HypatiaTheProcrastinator · 21/02/2012 19:21

The Versa is going to be £425. I don't think that's much more for a reversible seat, but the wheels are small and hard unlike the GT. I'd like GT wheels on the Versa but that'll increase the price a lot.

If you don't preorder, then don't be surprised if you have to wait months after release to get one. I'd preorder and cancel if you change your mind.

Tiggywunkle · 21/02/2012 20:07

Ladybugs are taking preorders now. Baby Jogger tend to send small amounts to start with so as Hypatia says, if you are interested DO preorder. It will very much be first come, first served and Ladybugs have got a preorder in.

dldl · 21/02/2012 20:42

Oh decisions decisions. Of course versa with gt wheels is the ultimate!

Will have to broach the topic with DH again about pre-ordering...wish me luck!

WhenDoISleep · 21/02/2012 21:33

Thanks for the info re Ladybugs and pre-orders.

Does anyone know if GT wheels can be fitted to the Versa (and if so, how much it would roughly cost?)

Sorry for all the questions, but with DS1 we kind of ended up with a very good pram for our needs by luck rather than any kind of research. Now our needs have changed a lot (moved from central London to suburbia, used to walk/take public transport and now use the car a lot more etc.).

dldl · 21/02/2012 21:38

Just seen the thread below this one about importing a Vista from the US. Can we do that with a Baby Jogger City Mini GT too? They are on amazon.com for $349.99. Does anyone know how much shipping and duty normally is on these sorts of items? Or is this a total no-go and not worth it?

bishboschone · 21/02/2012 21:46

My dh Is in the US st the mo but wasn't keen on going buggy shopping . Is it out in the US? I did google but couldn't really find any info .

OP posts:
dldl · 21/02/2012 21:52

No also only for pre-order in US it seems...til March

Tiggywunkle · 21/02/2012 21:58

The GT is JUST out in the US, but probably the same as the UK, you would have to find the stores that have it in their shops - its literally just come out this week or so. The GT is due here at the end of April.

I can't get the Amazon.com GT to ship to the UK (usually cheap shipping). The last shipping quote I had for a pushchair (smaller than the GT) was the cheapest at £110 and several were more, plus you have import duties on top. If this was a pushchair that we weren't getting until the end of the year, then importing for me could be an option, but for a month or so, I would prefer to wait and get a British safety approved model.
