Is the Bugaboo Bee really suitable from birth?

Product info says so but the Which? guide doesn't.

My friend's new baby looks very happy in her cocoon but as my DS2 due in June, wonder if he'd like a bit more wiggle room in a proper carry cot.

Looking at Chameleon (friend has parts) or Maclaren XLR with carry cot (long story, don't ask).

Recommendations much appreciated x

Cheesy I think it depends on your boot shape :) The Bee was too deep for my car boot at the time but the Cameleon slid in easily and two fairly flat parts made it easier to find how they fitted in.

Just to add I have a convertible car with just a 20cm clearance for more than half the boot and only about 4 pushchairs have ever fitted under the roof - the Cameleon being one - the City Select, Zapp and Takeoff being the others. Even the Petit Zia won't fit, neither will umbrella fold pushchairs.
