No, but mine is a crap one, so happy to leave it anywhere! I once drove off and left it on a pavement. It was still there 3 hours later. LOL

Why not get a bike lock?

quick google reveals buggy lock

Some surgeries have locks, but I've always taken mine in the room with me. I've left mine a few times in an art gallery and at a butterfly farm and never had an issue at all.

No. I've got a Silver Cross Pop but no bugger will take it Angry

A dad at DDs school said someone stole their buggy from outside the nursery whilst he dropped his son off!

I've heard of it happening but not to anyone I know personally. I've left many pushchairs out of site in the park etc, even with my handbag on sometimes but there seems to be almost an unwritten rule in lots of baby and toddler type places that you all look after each other's stuff (and keep an eye on other's kids for that matter).

At my surgery they have a foyer and provide bike locks to attach your pushchair to metal bar things. And at the children's centre there's a big shed thing outside. But you don't have an individual lock so there's nothing to stop someone taking someone else's pushchair when they're given the key to the shed. Confused

I'd get a buggy lock if you're worried.

My cousin had hers stolen from outside her house. She'd left it just behind the side gate so it wasn't exactly a snatch and run job.

Have never heard of anyone else having one taken though.

didn't someone on MN have theirs nicked at centre parcs?

WaxyBean · 16/02/2012 16:32

I've got a bike lock on my bugaboo. I don't live in the nicest of areas, and am paranoid that my pram will get taken while I'm in the Surestart centre or at the HVs as both of those have open-to-all buggy parks. I often don't attach the bugaboo to anything, but simply lock the top to the bottom (through the wheel so you couldn't push it away). It wouldn't stop someone lifting it or taking it to pieces and removing the wheel, but I think that would look rather more suspicious.

I've got a Mothercare Jive from 2004. No-one's desperate enough to nick that.
