Dilemma - help me choose which one to keep

I am a cm and have always had a good selection of buggies for various combinations of mindees. I have now found 'the one' which converts from single to double to triple and I'm really pleased with it. The only downside is that it doesn't rear-face when in single mode.

However, I also have a bugaboo gecko and a quinny Zapp. I need to get rid of one or both.

The bugaboo wouldn't sell for a huge amount because it is just the buggy (no carrycot) and is showing some signs of wear. I do love it but I don't really need it and it is a bit of a faff to get in and out of the boot of my car ie I have to remove a wheel for it to fit and the seat has to be removed before I can fold the frame. I really like that it's rear-facing though.

The quinny Zapp was a bit of an impulse buy. I thought it'd be handy to have as a car boot buggy as it's so compact when folded. I don't love it but it is very small when folded. I only paid £30 for it so I'm sure I'd get that back if I put it on ebay. I've only used it a couple of times so can't really give many plus or negative opinions on it but I just don't love it as much as the gecko.

Another thought that I had was to sell both and buy a maclaren-type stroller to take in the car...I'm not sure if the 'main' buggy will fit at all in my car and if it does, I'd need to remove wheels and handlebar etc.

Please help me choose!

It sounds like you would prefer a rear facer which neither the Zapp or Maclaren would do. You could always sell the Gecko and buy the Zapp Xtra seat, strip off your fabrics and put it on your chassis giving you a rear facer (although only with two rear facing reclining modes but an upright and reclining forward facing modes).

I don't know anyone who has liked their Zapp apart from how small it folds.

Tiggy - would the Zapp seat need to be removed for folding? Other than freeing up space, I'd quite like to free up some cash too so I would be looking at minimal outlay and the cheapest I could find the recline seat was £70 for a used one.

Bike - interesting that no one is keen on the Zapp. It feels a lot heavier than I had expected, given how compact it is.

I think I'm trying to convince myself that I only need one buggy but finding it hard to let go HmmGrin.

No, no, no! Bee is way over my budget. I'm a relatively new bugaboo convert and am not ready to progress to the bee .

'The one' is an ABC Adventure buggy.

I'd sell both the Gecko and Zapp and get a different cheapish rear facer that folds in one piece, and preferably folds into an ok shape when rear facing. I'm thinking a Babystyle Oyster, M&P Sola or M&P Urbo, something like that.

I like my Zapp. I find it lovely to push and easy to fold. However, I was surprised that it's not as small as I thought it would be when folded. The opposite to everybody else!

I think that oyster rear faces and folds smallish but I could be wrong.

Hmm, good point! Although, at the moment, I run a very real risk of making a loss unless I stop spending so much money Grin.

My friend has been borrowing the Zapp and has just returned it. I'm actually a little bit torn now as it looks better than I remember. However, I've just seen that they're selling on eBay for between £50 and £80 and I only paid £30 for it.

I really mustn't buy another buggy. I'm going to list both and practise putting the ABC in the boot of my car!

Good luck putting the ABC in your car. It's a beastie! How will you manage to get it in your car if you struggle with the Gecko? It's the only pushchair that to date hasn't fitted in my car boot!
I don't think the Zapp is too bad but the Gecko is nicer.

I know! It's not looking too huge with the handle and front wheel off but I have a Clio so might be being a little too optimistic!

The zapp is so urgh rickety and I pain to put up and doesnt recline if they need a nap

What you need is retro rearfacer Grin the maclaren superdreamer was incredibly light and rear or forward facing and folded flat!
