ok I lve this brand of buggy, double and single, recently been on here discussing their merits.....but....I knew about the brake issue with new models, just snapping and then not working, thought mine fine, was careful but today it's broken, tesco direct fab, said refund or replacement, my choice, what would you do?, have budget to increase up to say a bug bee for example which I had been considering before my nipper v2 or the babyjogger city elite, concerned re 17kg weight limit on bee, mine dd2 is already 15kg at 18 months.....vs elite huge weight limit! And nipper of course high weight limit......arrrrgh what to do! Thought I finally had my final buggy......then it bust! Do love the bug bee........would get good resale I think?! Also may want pop a lascal mini board on whatever buggy I get, wonder do babyjogger do own brand board? Would just get the mothercare one to match a bee with the wheel colours.....or should I try a mountain buggy duet?! Dd1 isn't heavy but is tall and I still walk miles.....

Are you replacing your double, single or both? I am a little confuseled at whether you want a Bee or a Duet (ie a single or a double). Baby Jogger, do their own board called a Glider board.

Hiya sorry waffle on my post, not very clear when I read it back! It is the single v2 nipper I am either going to have refunded or will get a like for like replacement. I would def get a new bee if choosing that as have read about the warranty wheels issues on here, prob don't really need a double....just love them! The duet would be handy as it's narrow but have heard the fabric bunches up a lot on seat recline/lift up and my dd1 would prob look huge in it. Really the lightweight bee would suit my needs well and I could use in out car and also for walks to nursery drop off and pick up and then maybe stretch to a mamas and papas three wheeler for a bigger comfier ride for dd2 for the nursery run when I've got paypal money from eBay! Maybe two buggies is the solution, the nipper is big for nipping into nursery or dd1 ballet pick up etc ...

Ok so we managed to fix the brake mechanism but it's slipped out again, is easy to fix but surely a 250 quid buggy shouldn't do that after just 6 weeks light use...hmmmm, tempted again to return it, or should I just keep fix it again, thing is I suppose it's well within returns policy as six weeks use but in six months if still a fiddle and breaks then maybe harder to return...really love the buggy but brakes are important! Especially when parking up to get dd1 out of nursery, is busy, steps etc etc. What would you do? Get same again or take opportunity for a diff buggy?

It's a known issue with the Nipper V2. I would return it simply because faulty brakes have serious implications. I know of one incident where a pushchair rolled off into a harbour and another video was linked only last week where a pushchair rolled of a station platform. I don't know the details of the second but the first had faulty brakes. Please dont risk your children's lives.

Hello, yes agree tiggy , of course wouldn't risk anyone injury with naff brake, just trying to decide whether to bother with a new one and poss get same hassle or go for new brand.....called bugaboo! Hmmmm am going to shop tmrw, tesco nearby and they seemed convinced on phone that it could be returned, want them to refund whole package though, ie the footmuff/basket as well as both no use if I give buggy back! What a pain, just when thought at last had best pram for me. Would never get a new version of a pram again though , from reading here they seem to often have teething problems that you are in effect testers for from the first batch which are then ironed out later! Meanwhile....off to whack up my heating, dcs all freezing!

It is true that to some degree - with some companies more the others - the first batch are a kind of test run.
I hope you are warm tonight :)
Happy deciding!
