Is the Bee+ my only option?

After my Cameleon has been back to mothercare 3 times in the past 6 months, a new pushchair is in order!

Ideally I am looking for:-
Parent facing
One piece fold
Ability to push with one hand

Price & size is not an issue
I do have the accessories from my cameleon which is why I am swayed to the bee, but my DH prefers bigger wheels?
He would like me just to have another cam, but I find the 2 piece fold such a faff on the school run!

Please help !

Thanks ladies

Honestly after having the Bee and Cameleon it is less faff to pull the Cameleon seat off to fold that it is to turn the pesky Bee seat around to forward facing to fold. I have had a Bee now for a week and I have only managed to pull the seat off once. Given it only folds forward facing, I have given up attempting the parent facing option and have left the seat forward facing.

Not only that but it feels spindly and wobbly compared to my bigger type pushchairs (eg BJCM or even my Noa!). I can't really explain this but things like trying to open a gate where you are at a bit of an angle or going up a slope are times I have noticed a difference. For me its a shopping mall / nip into a shop pushchair. I wont be going any distance with it.

I will admit that the fold is pretty awesome though - but once folded its more chunky than the Cameleon in my boot.

I am yearning to buy another Cameleon now for the more sturdy feel, the bigger wheels, even the storage basket (you have to access the tiny Bee one from the front).

The one pushchair that I can think of that I believe does fulfil your brief is the iCandy Strawberry. I think I am correct in saying that the pushchair folds with the seat on in either direction and again I am sure it is a one handed fold. iCandy's are easy peasy to push one handed. Later this year, the Baby Jogger Versa would fulfil your brief too.

I wouldn't get a Bee if you don't want it to go back to the shop. There have been too many handle and wheels issues for my liking. I also don't like the piddly wheels.

Some suggestions:
Mutsy 4Rider
BabyStyle Oyster
Mima Xari
Brio Go
UppaBaby Vista
iCandy Strawberry

tiggy my bee folds fine with seat in either direction. though it is an old one.

And possibly the Easywalker June, but that.s a few months off and I don't know about the fold.

Actually, I don't think the Xari or Go fold with the seat rear facing.

Thank you so much!

I quite like the look of the Strawberry - does anyone know a rough price for it & can it be bought without the carry cot?

Is the quality of icandy ok or will I never find anything as good as my cam? If it wasn't for the terrible service of Mothercare I think I would have kept it!

Thanks once again

It is £450 plus £75 for the flavour pack - which you need. No you dont need to buy a carrycot.

iCandy get mixed reactions. I have never had any reason to grumble - the service I have had has been excellent. My two iCandy's have had no issues at all. I think as long as your retailer is good and you buy new then the 2 year warranty gives you cover.

I started out with a Cameleon which I thought was the best pushchair ever, until I got a Peach and there's no question the Peach feels far superior, more sturdy, better basket and all round easier to use / fold etc. Having played with the Strawberry, I think it is also great - sadly I dont really need both a Strawberry and a Peach - but a Strawberry is on my wish list!

Thanks Tiggywunkle!

The cameleon is the only pushchair me & my husband has ever agreed on out out 4 kids! Think I must have had 30+ pushchairs over the past 6 years - I drive him mad!

Ive got the bugaboo footmuff, parasol & £200 leather bag so feel like I should get the bee but the strawberry looks so nice!

I cant wait 1-2wks to have one delivered though, as I took my cam back to mothercare yesterday so will have to ring round local suppliers to see if anyone has one ready to go!

I've got the old style Bee too and it definitely does fold with the seat folding either way. Also I can get loads in the shopping basket underneath.

Tiggywunkle - There is a video on you tube of it being folded in the rear seat position

I need to play with mine then! Thanks! I will have a look - I need to work out how to get the seat off first! I did it once and haven't managed it again since. Having said all this, I am still waiting for the shop to send me the instruction booklet and all I had was the online videos - but its not easy when the PC is upstairs and the pushchair is downstairs / outside by the car / in a car park / at playgroup!!
