Phil & Teds explorer doubles seat... And hood problems solved?

hi, I have decided to buy a P&T explorer and sell it on after 6 months because I really want to use a car seat with a toddler in the buggy as well. Am I right in thinking that you can put a Sport doubles seat onto it so that you get the recline? (apparently the double seat that comes with the Explorer doesn't recline so it can fit the car seat on, but if I am not using the car seat then I would like to be able to recline the doubles seat, so I am considering buying a single Explorer and getting a Sport doubles seat).
Also for those who haven't seen it, here is a link about how to stop the hood popping off the Explorer which is apparently one of the most infuriating issues with the buggy.

Or get a Hammerhead seat. Apparently to stop the hoods popping off you should push the hood together at either side like a chest expander.

I went to see the Explorer in Mothercare yesterday, apparently anyone with the old hood which pops off can get a newly designed hood free from P&T as from this month.
Just for the record, here are my thoughts on seeing the Explorer (comparing with my single BJ City Classic which I was using).
It looks really flimsy by comparison, especially the accessories eg the mudguards. Even the sales girls had trouble putting the hood on etc. In the end they gave up putting the hood on the main seat and said they were waiting for the new Explorer hood to come in?! The fold is really silly with the way the handle bumps on the floor (unless you are v strong and can hold the buggy in the air while folding! Even the guy in the official P&T video bumps the handle on the floor when he folds it). It is a shame it folds with the seat outwards so that any cosytoes or liner gets dirty, but that is the same as the BJ. Very annoying for putting in the boot with dirty dogs... There is apparently a knack to putting it up, but none of us could master the 'flick of the wrist' the sales girl said was needed, so that was a bit awkward too. The car seat adaptor wasnt in stock, but I have seen pictures and it seems more of a faff than other buggy travel systems, it would be so much better if you could have some sort of 'elbows' which you could leave on the buggy while it was folded up. I am a bit wary of how easy it would be to put the main seat up and down using the toggle slide system with a child in it. It is similar to my BJ and I find that hard to do with a child in the seat.
Having said all of that, I was impressed with the easy push, but most of all by how brilliantly narrow it was - ideal for shops or the little bridges and paths we have around here. So I still think there is nothing better for our purposes, despite thinking hard about the Sport, the BJCS (heavy to push) and the B-Dual (wish I had been able to see one of these but can't fond one on the west country).

Try and find a B-Dual. There must be someone who has one in stock!
It's much easier than the P&Ts with better spacing.

Give Britax a call for stockists?
