Baby Jogger City Mini GT?
ihearttc · 26/01/2012 14:32
Just wondered if anyone knew when the Mini GT is being released in the UK? I really want a City Mini but I'm only 4ft 10 and it's just too tall for me. I found somewhere that stocks both B-Agile and City Mini so went today to try them both out...I desperately wanted to like the B-Agile but I much preferred the Mini.
I think I could possibly manage the height of the mini at a push cause DS seems so happy in it but if the GT is coming fairly soon then I think I'll wait!

At present the dates seem to be the March / April but the big UK pushchair trade show is at the end of March so I am expecting some kind of launch there in the UK. BUT the last new Baby Jogger was 2 months late, as has been every new pushchair lately, so I would just keep your ear to the ground!

Thats not too bad...it might take me that long to persuade DH that I need yet another pushchair!! Might try City Mini again at weekend in John Lewis where I can have a longer push...it's so perfect apart from the handle height!
I so wanted to like the B-Agile-but it just felt wrong somehow and DS looked really slumped in it.

I am glad you said that because my DS slumped too. I sat for ages trying to work out why and can only assume its because the crotch strap is too far forwards. My 3 year old looked fabulous in it. I bought both the BJCM4 and the B-Agile to decide between them which to keep. The B-Agile in many ways had better features, but the seat position for DS - who is the one who would be in it - and also the low handle height sealed its fate and I sold the B-Agile and kept the BJCM4. I tried so hard to get past the handle height but whenever I took the B-Agile out those few cms really did make a difference even nipping in and out of places. I knew on a longer outing they would niggle hugely. The BJCM4 is a tad too high for me but its much better too high for me than too low. I can't wait for the GT although I do like 4 wheels, but the adjustable handlebar may just win for me!!

Don't quote me, but apparently there's been an update and it might be available late February!

That's what I have been told for the single GT with the double due in late March...theres still time for it to be late though!

I'm the same height as you ,with a tall husband. I really want the bjcm but its just to high. Do you know how much you can adjust the handles by, on the new model?
I'm going to try the Mountain Buggy on Tuesday, have you tried that ? Wondering how they compare ?
Tiggywunkle · 29/01/2012 22:49
I dont know the handle bar height on the GT but would imagine its not far off the Elite which has a huge height range. If you can ignore that these are double pushchairs, it may help you. The second photo in has the handlebars at maximum extension. The Mountain Buggy is the Duet, but it is very similar to the single Swift. You can see that even at the highest, the Duet handlebar is much lower. The Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle however has a higher handle. So if you are looking at Mountain Buggies then I suggest you look at that one rather than the Swift. The Swift handle, even on the highest feels wrong to me because a) I am too near the pushchair and b) the handle is shaped and when it is rotated, the curved part digs into the palm of my hands.
