Anyone find the straps on the Mamas and Papas Sola too snug?

Bought this for DS (now 10 mths) a few months ago.

When he has a winter coat on, the straps are pretty snug and hard to do up, despite being at maximum extension.

Mamas and Papas did send me new straps, but they were virtually the same size so it did not help! I emailed back to inform them and they have washed their hands of it, albeit politely! I have said that next year, the straps will be too tight, which means I won't be able to use it and so would not be getting my moneys worth....waiting to hear what they say but meanwhile, thought I would see if others have this issue? DS is average height and weight btw so not like I have giant baby straining at the straps!

To be honest you may find your DS doesn't change much and if anything slims down. my two are 21 months apart but wear the harnesses at the same length and height. The main difference is that the eldest has longer legs!

My DD is 16 months and the straps on my Oyster seem just as tight now as they were 4 months ago. She has got a rather enormous rotund belly though! Grin There's still a bit of room so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it'll see her through next winter!

I have the same problem as you, Puss. I have to remove my DS's coat if I want to put him in the pram because of it, so in cold weather I swaddle scarves over his top half. I've given up complaining to M & P because their customer service was completely c**p when I told them the seat was slipping down on one side (which it still is). I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Mine seems ok on 9 month old DD, she is teeny though. I've given up on the footmuff and bought a Kaiser sleeping bag type thing instead, so she doesn't need such a thick coat on to cover her top half.
