Another Hamster bag q

Are the new ones big enough to use as a work bag in the day? Am thinking phone,purse, bottle of water and book in there? Would make life much easier on days when have to fit ds3, 2 x schoolbags, 1 x workbag and cello onto poor pushchair and DH and I could have one each (he takes, I collect)

Is the strap padded at all? is it really narrow?

Thanks in advance for any help - other alternative would be if phil and ted put ruck straps on their panniers as they fit perfectly onto the mac already and we have them

They are easily large enough for your requirements. The strap isn't padded but is wide enough to be comfortable. Car seat belt width. Its comfy to wear across the body. Or one shoulder.
