I'm after a new pushchair, we currently have a Silver Cross jet sport travel system and I can't stand it - the brakes don't stay put easily but more importantly DS just looks so uncomfortable in it :(

DS is 10 months but a big boy for his age, very tall. The silver cross just doesn't seem big enough for him - he tends to lean forward and stick his arms out like an aeroplane because he can't get comfy leaning back.

I'm after something preferably with 3 wheels as I find them easier to push about and one big handle rather than 2 (hate not being able to steer if I have to use a hand!) I don't want a super lightweight stroller (ie. rubbish wheels that wear down easily) as I walk everywhere so it needs to be robust!

I like the look of a Quinny Buzz - are they any good? I'm on a tight budget but happy to buy second hand..

So, pushchair experts, please throw some ideas at me! I have a budget of about £100 but happy to buy second hand so open to suggestions :)

Don't get a Quinny as the seats are small and won't last you very long.

I highly recommend a Baby Jogger City Mini. Best stroller I'ever had, and I've had over 70 a few.

Thank you! That's really helpful. It's so hard to know what to pick without trying them out and extra hard as DS is such a tall baby!

BJCM is a great pram for a tall child. I could fit my very tall 4 year old in one.

I agree...find a BJCM :)

Just had a look, exactly what I was after.. I'm going to check if anyone has one for sale a bit closer to my price range. :) thanks again!

The BJCM is definitely the solution! It's reduced to £150 at Halfords in the 2010 version. You'd be doing well to find it for £170 in the 2011 version new. Or you may well find one second hand for about £100.

£150 won't be too much of a stretch as I'm selling my old travel system, thanks for the tip! Thank God for MN pushchair experts :o
