I don't know much about them. Have you seen on their website the ones that are reduced to £22.99 with free p&p here?

Which pushchair do you want to use them on?

I'm intrigued. They seem like a good idea, although I wonder if they get in the way a bit, and whether you can use just one at a time. Confused

I have just ordered the new style ones. It looks like they hold a lot of apples lolol

saoirse86 · 15/01/2012 20:53

TruthSweet has them! Where is she?

ItsMyLastOne · 15/01/2012 21:09

Wait a minute, not TS, it's Monkey. Where's she when you need her?!

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 15/01/2012 22:25

I have them, and so far they're very good. Exceedingly well made from thick quality fabric. Immaculate stitching. Easy to use quality zips and pretty much waterproof (very water resistant) too!
The blue or green ones fasten with clips and are only suited to umbrella fold buggies with standard tube diameter.
The smart black, red or grey (and also the polka dot ones I think) have a more versatile Velcro strap fastening (complete with quick release buckles once you've initially fastened the Velcro straps around the pushchair frame) for ease of use (so you won't have to spend ages faffing about at bus stop or car park when you want your loaded hamster bags off to fold the pushchair for example).
These newer updated design colour ways also come with adjustable shoulder straps running the length of the bag (this is neatly hidden from view when the bag is on the buggy) and this is a welcome development as it means you can continue to get use from these smart sporty looking bags long after the buggy is gone (yes they do appear to be that durable!).
The shoulder strap is also good if you are travelling by public transport and perhaps need to remove the bags (in a flash due to quick release clips!) for folding the pushchair or if you've packed the family's swimming kit into the hamster bags for a trip to the pool...you simply sling the bags accross your body and you have your hands free! Very ingenious. Very cool.
I would pay a little more and get the new version as it fits more strollers and pushchairs plus it has the shoulder strap.
Kiddicare.com have £5 off some of the colours (even new style) and if you use the code "Morrisons" you'll save another 5% too. If that brings you under the free post threshold there consider adding something else to your order (I hear good things about their "just4bums" nappies) or club together with a pal and place the order together to save on post!
I really recommend these fab bags as they are very useful. I can also see them making excellent swimming bags after they retire from the pushchair!

Great review, I'm tempted too despite really not needing them ATM!

I think they're still cheaper direct from the Hamster website. £22.99 + free P&P. Smile

Tiggywunkle · 16/01/2012 00:42

Thats good to hear because I bought from the Hamster website earlier and never even checked the Kiddicare prices!! I was umming and ahaaing re getting a spare set of clips but I thought it was easy enough to go back and order some later if I wanted to swap pushchairs. I liked that they fitted the BJCM.

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 16/01/2012 08:13

itsmylastone so long as you know it is only the blue or green ones which have the clips that are priced at £22.99 not the Velcro ones with shoulder straps which are £29.99 on the hamster bag site.
The £22.99 ones only fit umbrella folds with standard 2cm diameter round tubing and can't be slung over your shoulder (so not that useful in later years once you have finished using them on the buggy). These ones won't fit other pushchairs like three wheelers or those without standard 2cm round tubing.
It's cheaper to buy the updated version from kiddicare currently. Wink

ItsMyLastOne · 16/01/2012 10:05

Oh I see! In that case go to kiddicare!

Do you know if the red and black one is the new type? It's not clear from the kiddicare website. Confused

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 16/01/2012 10:36

Yes the red and black is the new type. Only the green or blue ones have the clips and no shoulder straps, the others are all the Velcro straps with quick release clips and shoulder straps.

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 16/01/2012 10:39

I'm wondering if the newer style might also fit bike cross bars (the straps are long enough to fit around)... Because with the quick release straps and shoulder strap this would be v useful indeed. So long as they didn't get in the way of any moving parts I think it might work.
