Hi, after very very long and drawn out consideration of which double buggy to get, i have finally decided on the Phil & Teds explorer with double kit and cocoon.. However... I have just had a thought whilst looking at it and seriously.. Where do you put babys bag?! If anyone can shed any light on this or anything i would be sooooo grateful! Thanks

It's pretty much the only fault with P&Ts, you really need to buy their custom made bags.

On your back :) Or buy panniers.

I have a changing bag with poppers which do up to make 2 little loops of material on the strap, one of these goes round the handle and one round the bit the second seat clips onto if you have it on the front, so the bag hangs at the side of the buggy. It came free with my previous buggy but I don't think they can be that unusual, if I had to I reckon I could adapt a bag by putting the poppers on myself.

I also have pram hooks on the handle, if they're positioned a bit to the side I can hang a fair bit off them without it being anywhere near DS2's head when he's in the back seat.

ahh i feared that would be the answer! I can only seem to find the panniers in black, and the diddie bag in black or red.. trust me to want the apple coloured buggy!! The hang bag seems titchy, barely enough space for nappies wipes and bottle, any ideas if P&T sell the panniers or diddie bags in apple? thanks :)

ahh.. well at least now i know not to be put off just because of this, if the problem can be overcome. Doubt i would be able to adapt any bags as i am a bit useless at, well, everything! But i have a few pram hooks so that will no doubt be my life saver! Thankyou all so much. I have had a nightmare looking for a double buggy and when i finally thought i had found the perfect one.. a flaw lol!

I've got an apple sport, but i could only get charcoal panniers.

I had a P&T when i needed a double, i still use a pannier bag on my single maclaren now on day trips out (or when museum cloakrooms will take folded buggies free but charge for bags Wink) it was one of the best things about P&T pushchairs

losttheflickumdickumagain · 14/01/2012 23:09

I've got a hop/skip (I think) bag, which has bits that I can attach to to handle.

ImpOfThePerverse · 14/01/2012 23:15

Also there is a fair bit of room in the luggage carrier underneath, you can cram a bag under there fairly easily until DC2 has legs so big they need all the legroom - by which time I am planning to have DC1 out of the buggy forever so it will no longer be an issue Grin

this is exactly the reason i am selling my P&T (sport) and switching to a BJCS. When both seats are in use there is nowhere to hang the changing bag and i lose the shopping basket to DD's ridiculously long legs. I would have o get down on hands and knees to shove the bag in the little space left and dont fancy that much.

A friend has the panniers and it seems to me that when fully loaded (as i expect them to be with a little bub and a still in nappies toddler) the P&T becomes as wide as a sidebyside.
