I'm not sure how much extra room the new iCandy tandem that is due out in 2012 is going to give compared to the existing... Please can someone tell me how old your little ones were before they outgrew the lower seat? Oh and also if your little ones are relatively big or small babies :)). Thanks!

There is tons of extra room in the new Peach Blossom. Probably 2-3 years difference in growth room. I hear babies typically grow out of the lower seat from 10-18 months. The lower seat can take a child up to 20.5kgs in the lower seat (Australian tests) and I know of an 18kgs child heading for 3 and a half year old happily using the new lower seat today.

The main seat is more or less exactly the same (there's been changes to harnesses and windows in the hoods). The lower seat on the current version is smaller, with a fixed hard footrest and only lies flat or reclines. The new lower seat is almost the same size as the upper one, has a fabric more flexible footrest and importantly sits upright, as well as having two reclines.
