Obaby Atlas vs Maclaren Quest

Happy New Year!

I am looking to buy a compact stroller to take to Australia at the end of the month. I know Maclaren's are considered to be the best, but I have read some very good reviews on Kiddicare of the Atlas. Is anyone able to offer an opinion on both? My baby is 3 months old.
Thanks

Maclaren over an Obaby any day.

Have youn thought about a Baby Jogger City Mini?

I haven't looked at that one. My main motivating factor for going for the Atlas is the price. It is a third of that of the Maclaren (on offer) and I already have a Mountain Buggy as our main pram so it is really only going to used to be travelled with any maybe to whip around the shops with. That said though, you do get what you pay for..... may be a false economy???

Have never tried the Atlas, but I absolutely love my Maclaren Quest - had it for over 5 years now & on our 3rd baby. It's compact, lightweight & sturdy so would highly recommend it.

I have had many maclarens and an obaby and I really didn't like the obaby. The seat was angled oddly which meant my lo was hanging out and only held in by the crotch strap - looked really uncomfy. I also found that the foam handles were pants and wore loose within a week, I've seen many an obaby with at least one whole foam handle missing. Fold more clunky and a bit bigger folded - and handles oddly angled to make rather uncomfy. If price is an issue I would definitely get a second hand maclaren rather than a new obaby anyday. Other thing to consider is a Mamas and Papas Pulse (think might be called a Tempo now) - their version of maclaren and whilst not quite so good pretty close for much less money - esp if being used as a second buggy

I had both, hated the atlas, seat uncomfortable, too laid back, wheels and steering annoying in tight turns like in shops. Quest however was lovely to push, DD seemed comfortable, can't believe I sold it as I now have DD2. But atlas is loads cheaper!!

Hi, I bought an Obaby Atlas to take on holiday but after trying it out a few times before we went I really didn't like it - I found it heavy to lift and push, and my DD seemed to slouch in the seat. I sold it and bought a Maclaren Quest! The quest was great for our holiday, very light, easy to push and our DD seems comfy in it. Our main pushchair is a mountain buggy also!

Just noticed your baby is only 3 months old. The quest says suitable from 3 months but the recline isn't very flat, so this might be an issue for you.

Well that settles it! Atlas is out. Glad I posted. Thanks everyone for the advice, I will look at the tempo cod, but otherwise, Maclaren it is!
I wonder who is leaving all of these great reviews for the Atlas????
