Help me find a lightweight stroller for heavy child

My DS is 18mo and very heavy (12.5kg at last weigh in a few months ago) and also very tall.I take him with me on public transport to a nursery next to my work and sling the bits I walk (including quite a few steps). He walks most of the way home but is too much of a dawdler to do so in the mornings.

He's starting to get a bit heavy and I'm also TTC so carrying such a heavy child for long periods while pregnant [hopeful emoticon] will be a problem.

Ultimately, I'm looking for a lightweight stroller (with straps?) that I can cart up steps while we walk, but also folds out quickly and can carry a heavy child (most of the lightweight ones are up to 16kg which I'm sure he'll reach before long).

To get an idea of what I was looking for, I liked this but not the weight limit.

Anyone willing to help me find the impossible?

Sorry to add to that - I'm really looking for something very basic. Not worried about space for shopping or cupholders or anything like that. Just something for a ten minute walk to and from station.

Babydan Stockholm. They don't make it anymore I don't think, but they're still around on ebay. They go up to 40lbs- as big as a 4 yr old. Quinny Senzz also has a big weight limit. HTH

Bear in mind pushchairs are only tested to 15kgs in the UK - they may well hold more. The JL one you linked to though looks very basic though and I am not sure I would overload it.
Have a look at a Maxi Cosi Noa. My almost 18kgs 3 year old is great in it and it's easy to fold one handed and tow along behind you if you don't need it. There were some on offer at Kiddicare this week.
I suspect the Baby Jogger City Mini or Britax B-Agile are more than you want, but I will throw them in as a possibility. Ditto the new Quinny Yezz but I don't like the price of that!!!!!

Thanks, Tiggywunkle and sleepysox. Lots to look at Smile
