Replacement mattress for a Bugaboo Cameleon

Hi,

We have a Bugaboo Cameleon which we used for DS, and are currently 25 weeks pg with DC2. We'll be getting the Bugaboo out for this next baby but I wondered if it's possible to buy a replacement mattress for it?

We never used a moses basket for DS - instead he slept in the carry cot downstairs in the day and in a crib in our room at night. This was one of the reasons we bought the bugaboo - because it had a 'proper' mattress in it.

But anyway, we plan to do the same with this baby and so I assume the same rule applies re not re-using mattresses as for cots and cribs etc.

Easy enough to replace the cot and crib mattresses but I wasn't sure if you could buy a new mattress from the Bugaboo or where I should get one from. Also, how does it work with the colours etc? (Ours has a brown cover on it as that is the 'base' colour we have).

Thanks

Look on bugaboo website. I am sure you can

I did look on the website but it kept taking me to the US version where the mattress was $70 but I couldn't get my phone to go on the parts bit of the uk website Sad

Why don't you phone an independent Bugaboo retailer. I am sure they will help you?

I can always phone where we got ours from, but I wondered if anyone else had any experience? Or had bought a genuine replacement vs one of those available to fit?

Yes im sure john lewis for one can order and bugaboo part you need. Think you have to supply your pram model number. Have a look online at babymattreses.co.uk

Im sure i've seen them on there but it may have been silvercross. My bugaboo mattress slips out of the cover. I washed the cover. It has a foam insert and a mesh breathable layer so you should be able to slip the foam into your current cover.

You can wash the cover so you just need a replacement inner.

try here

You can buy them on eBay made to measure, I've bought two on separate occasions.

We borrowed sisters in laws bugaboo frog for DS1 and bought a second hand babyjogger city select off e-bay for DS2.

Both times we got new mattresses through baby mattresses online (link as above) and were very happy. Worth doing a search online for vouchers as both times we managed to find a discount code.

The Ebay ones are very reasonable.

I bought a gorgeous custom sheet from poshbugs to cover it.
