Footmuff or fleece trousers?

We need a new footmuff - the zip has fallen off ours.

Following advice here, I want to get a Kaiser footmuff, but DH says we should just get an extra pair of trousers for DS. I see you can get fleece trousers from JojoMamanBebe for £14.

Any opinions? DS is nearly 2.

The JoJo fleece trousers are fab. But my DD at 3 prefers her Buggysnuggle. But equally fleece trousers are much easier to deal with than floppy cosy toes which you have to play hunt the harness with. Either / or both are good! Xmas Confused!!

Buggysnyggle. Waterproof one. Can tuck a toy in there too. Keeps chest and even fingers warm!

Can you not repair the footmuff? Iif you arent great with a sewing machine one of those little shops/guy in the drycleaners could probably change the zip at a decent price.

I would go for a foot muff over trousers, as trousers can get wet and muddy and needing washing/changing more often. If you go into a cafe/shopping centre with a sleeping baby you can unzip footmuff so the dont get too hot but cant easily take footmuff off

We have both. The buggy snuggles stay on our main pushchair for outdoor walks but when I am shopping I use the fleece trousers with our maclaren buggy because a footmuff is too bulky. My dts are just two so I find the trousers easier as I can use wellies with them and I don't have to mess around with zips. Also they are easier if they want to get in and out of the pushchair a lot!

Thanks everyone. I decided to get a new footmuff, a Kaiser XL which should last DS next year as well as this. I might look out for a cheap pair of fleece trousers too.
