I am considering the b dual for my toddler/baby double but my older child is on the 98th percentile, tall and very heavy..

experienced buggy experts will I be happy with the britax b dual?
or do I have to get something else...

what about the maclaren xt double or the baby jogger city mini double?

I know it says that on the EBay sellers site. The other seller is the man who invented it, so I would buy from him anyway.
The sling option is very hard when pushing a pushchair unless you walk very upright. I slung No1 lots but quit within 5 mins with No2.
Re the Duellette v's the B-Dual. The seats and seating arrangements of the Duellette are much better than the B-Dual. Children 'hang' from the B-Dual seats. My toddler never looked right in either seat. The hood height at present is low but ths is being addressed on one seat. There is more flexibility ie carrycot, car seat, soft cot with the B-Dual but the actual choice of seating positions is better on the Duellette. The baskets are both large. the fold is better on the B-Dual ie both seats attached. The B-Dual is better quality and a bit more sturdy. But there's a big price difference too if you look at RRPs.
Which would I choose? The Duellette for six months plus or before using the car seat depending on how and where it fits. I thought it was great. But as I have said before I can't speak for the long term.

when you say the other dealer...what do you mean?

I only found it on ebay or amazon.

I've a friend who has a Britax for her two DC, there is under 2 years between them but her just turned 2 year old is bigger than my three year old. Pushes like a dream.

Have you looked at this deal at Preciouslittleone? Lots of freebies, a fab price and they are a good company to buy from. Plus an extra £10 off at the till.

There are two Duellette sellers on EBay (I don't know if both are listed at present) One is the main distributor / designer. The other is Babzee.

The current duellette model (ie the one that's not britax car seat compatible) is now £300 or best offer from the kidz Kargo man, look here.

twinkle-- could I get away with the duellete seat flat with my bugaboo bee cocoon? or do I really have to wait until baby is six months.

its so irritating because I wrote to one of the dealers on ebay and they even wrote back that it was suitable from birth...isnt that against the rules of ebay to lie about a product?

I wouldn't put a baby in the seat before 6 months. I would get the version that takes the car seat.

saoirse86 · 05/01/2012 11:25

It is against eBay rules. But probably all that would happen if you bought is they'd have to refund when you return it.

Am I rig in thinking the baby is already born and you're using a sling at the moment? If so, how old is the baby now?
