Phil and teds Verve?

I'm starting to come around to seeing the positives in having a phil and teds for a toddler and a newborn. My issue has always been that I didn't think my toddler would nap when on a non reclining top seat, however I can count on one hand the number of times I have actually needed him to nap in the buggy in the last few months!

I like the phil and teds verve...anyone have one and what do you think about it?
If I get the cocoon do you have to strap the newborn in or just place them in it? Can you do the toddler and carseat combo? Any other accessories that are a 'must have'?

I have had one and after almost six months it's been returned and a refund made after the frame developed creaking / side by side movement. Others have had the Sam issue. So if you buy one then check it's from a later ie very new batch as I believe the frames have been changed. A good retailer should be able to find out. I didn't really like it anyway. There's not enough room for the toddlers feet. There's straps and dangly bits all over. Access to the lower seat is very poor and it's hard to get the child in and out. The handlebar is uncomfy...and loads more. You can do the car seat and toddler combo but I had to recline the top seat a little which compromises the toddler. There is the new Promenade due out at the start of next year but having had several faulty pushchairs from first batches recently, I wouldn't be buying one until the middle of next year. Honestly, there are better pushchairs on the Market. The B-Dual is very similar but shorter, and has much more space for the children and full lie back seats and can take a ar seat in either position.

Hmmm well I'm glad I asked now! My friend has a vibe and loves it so I thought the verve would be the same but with reclining second seat! I like the look of the b dual but I have a maxi cosi car seat so want to be able to use that.

You can use a Maxi Cosi car seat on a B-Dual if you add Oyster car seat adaptors.

I love our b dual, and like twinkle says you just use oyster adapters for a maxi cosi. But iirc it can then only go on top because the adapter thing for the bottom is a britax one here. Although maybe you can then put the oyster adapters in first, hmm, not sure but worth looking into.
Anyway I found some photos of someone using them here but they've got a cybex aton car seat - it's the same fitting.
The b dual is often on offer too like at precious little one or bambino direct. But they both come with car seats. You could always sell the car seat!

I should've known you'd have a pic twinkle! And love the disclaimer! Xmas Wink
It'd be good if someone could send a pic to you of an attempt at least to use a maxi cosi with oyster adapters on the bottom seat. Anyone?!
And is there a reason I can only find photos of the car seat at the bottom forward facing? Surely it would make no real difference in terms of weight distribution to have it rear facing. Xmas Confused

A car seat simply doesn't fit rear facing - I guess in the same way you can't put the car seat forward facing on top?
