iCandy vs Silvercross

Hi I currently have the silvercross 3D, my little boy is now 4 months old and is too long for the lay down section now. Im not happy about havin him in the car seat on the pram for long periods, but also not happy about him being in the pushchair bit, as I like to be able to see him.
Im thinking about investing in another pram as the 3D was given to us nearly new.
I have looked at the iCandy peach and the silvercross surf, I like both but want advice on which is the best? And which I will be able to use for a while yet!
Thanks x F x

I have to say, I love my Peach. I think it's a fab pushchair. My eldest still fits in comfortably at just over 3. The hood slides up the frame and then unzips off the back as the child grows. The liner can also be removed. The adjustable leg rest moves down to allow for growth too.

Is it suitable from birth? m looking at it as an investment for the next little one too! Also, is it easy to put up/down? X

It is suitable from birth if you use a carrycot or the car seat. The bonus of the Peach is that it makes a very fine tandem too. It is very easy to put up and down although you need to remove the seat unit first.

I like them both. Xmas Smile

The Surf seat unit is suitable from birth if you buy a Baby Nest, which is gorgeous and soft. That means you don't have to buy a carrycot and will save money. But the storage isn't amazing on it at the moment. If you choose the Surf, get the new rectangular basket when it comes out next year-it's much bigger than the current circular one.

The Peach, as Twinkle says, can be converted to a double so that may be a better investment.

Both are very light to push and both need to have the seat removed before folding.

My main concern is buying either.. And then Jacob growing out of it. I want to be able to use this until hes at least 2

My cousin has the 3D too, her son is 9 months (a big baby) and only just fits in the pushchair with the footmuff on!

Yes, the 3D's rubbish! Xmas Grin I think the Peach has a bigger seat and it has a proper adjustable footrest. Most children use pushchairs until closer to 3 unless you only use it for short walks.

I think if he's getting too long for the carry cot on the 3D, then he is definitely going to struggle in the Surf as there's even less room in there. The iCandy Peach is far more generous and i'm nearly sure the seat can be flipped to face the parent.

I have got the icandy peach and it's brilliant. Roomy, sturdy and yes can be used facing parents.
