Double Nipper 360 v2 problems

Has anyone else got a problem with their brakes? I can no longer get the brake to go on, it's always been hard but now is impossible. A nightmare, as I don't have a car and can't secure the pram on the bus!

Hav contacted the shop ot was bought from (200 miles away as was bought by family for us) and they have said to contact Out n about, but am guessing it should really go back via the shop which is going to be impossible Sad

Has anyone else had a similar issue, or got any tips? TIA

yes the retailer has to deal with any problems and i think out and about will just tell you to return to shop where bought, thats what they told me anyway[it was a p&t]. contact shop and tell them what has happened, do they have an online shop, they may if you are lucky arrange for it to be collected.

Success - I emailed O n A and they are going to send a courier to collect it see what the problem is!

Not sure if my Nipper is a v2, but sometimes if the wheels aren't completely clicked into position the brake bar won't engage properly as the teeth can't slot into the wheels .

Not sure if that makes sense; have you tried taking the wheels off and putting them back on again, making sure they are completely clicked in then trying the brake again?

The V2 has a bumper bar and an adjustable handlebar, V1 doesn't.

I've had a proble with the brakes, am very diappointed that Out'n'about are not offering refunds as it has really reduced my confidence in this buggy

Byeckerslike · 16/01/2012 11:17

I bought the last v1 that my local supplier as they said they were altering the brake. This new type they have used always has problems, it seems a really strange thing to do Confused

Anyway... Glad out and about are sorting it, are they lending you a replacement?

I think you should all contact trading standards. If the brakes have a design fault the product is unsafe and not fit for purpose. You should therefore be entitled to a refund I think. Do get in touch with trading standards who will tell you how to proceed. I believe it is the shop who sold you the buggy who is firstly responsible to refund you.
