for a double buggy that is light, and can take around london and handle a large toddler and newborn...

which of these is better and why?

i have had a double maclaren and it was hard work to push, with a small toddler and baby, so on that i would say the city mini, lots of people rave about them on here

City Mini, no doubt. It's much easier to push.

City Mini - I used mine with a tall and weighty 2.5 year old on one side and a 7.5lbs baby on the other and it was a doddle to push. No inkling of the huge weight difference between the sides and the 2.5 year old had bags of room, in fact still does 1 year later!

I had a double maclaren (more basic model than techno) and is was a NIGHTMARE to push. Avoid at all cost!

(I then got a nipper and it was amazing).

Get a citymini.

My friend who's a childminder had a twin techno and it is a nightmare to push and she had loads of trouble with it too.

mamaesi · 30/11/2011 11:44

thanks. but what about the cost?

maclaren seemed so nice at only 200 quid...

but if you all say, nightmare to push...well that does make a difference.

has anyone used a hauck turbo duo? are there any other cheap doubles?

If cost is an issue, I'd buy a second hand one.
