Can anyone recommend a good buggy for triplets from birth????

Congratulations! How about an ABC Adventure Buggy with reclining Toddler seat or the Peg Perego Triplette or the Ingelsina Triplet? Those are probably the most manageable although all are beasties! Or Mountain Buggy and Baby Jogger do triple side by side pushchairs. Personally I think I would consider something like the Mountain Buggy with double carrycot, or one of the similar style ones eg Babystyle Lux or Emmaljunga ones (not necessarily those two but there's a lot similar) where you could put the babies side by side for the first few months. See that pushchair as a short term rental and swap to a proper triple when you feel the babies need more room.

ABC double pushchair with reclining toddler seat is suitable from birth for all 3 babies.

Downside is that only one child will be able to face you and it can be a little tricky to see over if you are shirt but not impossible. It is also pretty hard to get as you need to get it sent from NZ or second hand and expensive.

Plus sides are that it is narrower than many double pushchairs apparently less than a Maclaren XT double.

If I had the money it's what I would choose.

Wow, congratulations!

I have no experience myself but I'd say twinkle's idea of a double carrycot for all 3 at first is a good idea. They're likely to be born early and small so it'll probably last you long enough to feel worthwhile. It'll also be better IMO as you'll be able to see them all (and they'll look gorgeous all tucked up together!) then you can get an ABC or whatever you want later when they've outgrown it. If you buy a second hand pushchair with double carrycot then you're likely to sell it for similar to what you pay and therefore it won't be as expensive as it seems at first.

Good luck! Smile

I just did a spot of googling (purely for reasons of nosey-ness!) and there don't seem to be many options. People are saying the inglesina is really heavy although the one with 2 seats side by side and one facIng them here is at least not so long and a bit easier to steer.

Then people are saying a good option for later is the Valco Baby Runabout and the Valco Baby Zee. They are both doubles with a toddler seat on the front so aren't suitable for a while. They won't be great if all three are sleepy even when they are big enough, and god knows what you do if it rains! Confused

Then people seem to like these choo choo wagons where you attach a third seat here but that's obviously far in the future too, they're still big and again you're going to need some pretty good and predictable weather.

I'm definitely thinking the abc is your best (if not only) option long term.

Just to add, Mountain Buggy have a fab deal on their website in the UK sale section for a Mountain Buggy Urban with double carrycot for about half price. Its old stock but it would see you through the first six months at least and you would get your money back on I am sure.

The Valco runabout has a raincover for the front child. But it's a pushchair for much much later on. The triplet mum who lives by us has the Peg Perego Triple.
