Advice RE price Bee + chassis

I have a bee + chassis I want to sell, any idea how much I should charge? It works fine, has some scratches but does rattle? I have no idea. Any help appreciated!

I paid 80 pound for a bee chassis on eBay a few months ago (ran over ours opps) if that's any help. Not bee plus though original model.

Hi Pomme I could get quite a bit then! Woohoo decided I want a peach blossom so need all the pennies I can get! Thank you :)

If you want a Peach Blossom I would advise that you get talking to a retailer because stocks are running very low on Peaches until early next year. I was told by a retailer that Tomato are all sold out, there's under 100 Sweetpea and a good number of Blackjack left.

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 17/11/2011 20:55

Really I was at my shop earlier and they said I should order before Christmas because prices might go up. Baby not due until March so as long as I get one for then. Hopefully, putting deposit down next week. I want sweet pea, so fingerscrossed! Where do you get your knowledge? Shock

Another retailer. I heard stocks were running low and thought I had better find out so phoned up and asked. The response tallied with the first information I was told. Prices are 'apparently' going up by 6%....

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 17/11/2011 21:56

6%!!! Jeez! Thanks, will hopefully get the money together for next week! Are you getting one?

I have the new Peach Blossom on loan and its absolutely brilliant, but at some point we will need to get our own Peach. I love it.

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 18/11/2011 13:32

I am hoping it is the right one for us, especially as £££s. I only tried it in single but pushed a double pear and it was an absolute tank! Still one way to tone up after the birth.

I got a pear off ebay. Agree, big but smaller than the others I tried (zoom and a britax one from memory..)

I too am hoping for magical buggy pushing gisele like figure post birth...!

Tiggywunkle · 18/11/2011 14:29

I thought the Pear was a tank in the shop, and I agree it is when you go slow, and the wheels on mine used to stick whenever I stopped at a slight angle. But on the straight ie walking, to be honest I didn't find much between the Peach and Pear. I believe the Pear is actually about 2kgs lighter, but it doesn't feel it!

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 18/11/2011 14:37

My friend said the pear was 3-4 kgs heavier than peach? Is that your monster buggy then Pomme? I much preferred the basket on peach too. I hope it is lighter!

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 18/11/2011 14:41

I have always wondered if the weights were correct because the Peach feels like a feather to push next to the tank of a Pear. There is barely a basket on the Pear by the time the Pip Convertor is in place. The Peach basket is great and I like the shape so nothing should fall out.

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 18/11/2011 15:40

Do you have any idea about new colours for the peach? The pear was only £150 cheaper so it was no brainer for me.

OP posts:
pommedechocolat · 18/11/2011 15:54

It definitely is a monster compared to the Bee Purple although I know the Bee is smaller than most of my friend's pushchairs so my comparison might be off because of it.

I really wanted the donkey but reality intervened!

Tiggywunkle · 18/11/2011 16:00

Lol re the Donkey - reality intervened for me too but I also have a Love N Care TwinGo (like a Stroll-Air My Duo) which in some ways seems better than the Donkey for less money. I get the impression the new colours are still very much under consideration....so I wouldn't hold your breath for them....

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 18/11/2011 16:01

I wanted the Donkey but being signed off work with 0 pay killed that, plus nearest stockist is 100 miles away! I don't have to worry about the width with the peach which is great. I am still keeping my bee, but selling cam and Mountain buggy to help fund.

I got the Peach through a narrow swimming pool changing room cubicle door the other day! There aren't many single, let alone double pushchairs that would have fitted through.

pommedechocolat · 18/11/2011 16:13

I didn't realise you got signed off on no pay purple that's rubbish, sorry to hear that.

I got the pear for £250 from ebay so am keeping the bee and obaby travel thing which I hate with a passion.

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 18/11/2011 16:18

The no pay thing is a recent revelation! A super stressful one at that. Hmm

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 18/11/2011 16:20

Gosh, I bet! Shock Sorry to hear that.

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 18/11/2011 16:26

Luckily, I only worked part time so can still pay the bills! DH is working overtime bless him, and I should get some maternity pay so will be taking leave early.
