FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 08/11/2011 22:40

Grin @honey

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 22:51

Grin its even worse when you have a 5 year old in a pushchair and hes shouting things out over and over again Blush you need a thick skin and a sense of humour and learn the dirty look back Grin
i am in the 3 year old stage Heeeeelp

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 22:52

Lol Honey. Mine just knows what she wants and how to do her best to talk around it - but she meets me en route :o
She was a nightmare at the bonfire - we got there too early (well we had to), the fireworks were delayed as the bonfire didn't light and she was hungry, tired and melted down despite best efforts. Thank goodness for pushchairs because it was pitch black and muddy!

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 08/11/2011 22:54
Grin maybe you should shout along with him...having said that it just rile's DD if i try to make a joke out of her very serious meltdowns.HmmGrin

Hmmm do we know how old Hollie's children are?
The +one from what I have seen is very niche market like the Vista & Rumble Seat. I can't realistically see how you bridge the gap between a 6 month old coming out of being laid flat in the rear to sitting upright.

There's a awful photo on MB's FB Page - quite a way down now - of a 12 week old in the front of the +one!! The mum says her son in the back is squashed with the slight recline. But its just awful seeing such a young baby sitting so upright. He's not even 4 or 5 months - he's 12 weeks! Whats worse is MB has "liked" it! I would rather have an under 6 month old on its back in the rear with its feet in the air, than so upright in the front. After my experiences with the Rumble seat I have my serious doubts as to whether my 15 month old will cope in the front seat if he falls asleep. If my DD can manage without serious frog legs then DS will go in the back and I have ideas to make him comfy. IMHO I think the +one is better suited to two older toddlers.

misdee · 09/11/2011 07:33

which is why i cancelled my +one order and went for the duet.

Husband has taken eldest gremlins to school, so I've dashed into the ensuite with a pair of nail scissors and have unpackeged the slalom pro in a flurry of cardboard, sellotape and plastic.
I've clicked all the wheels on. First impressions...mahoosive and heavy.
8kg my arse! Maybe if you remove all fabrics and wheels....the wheels are a loose fit. Enough play on them that they'll prob do that thing /---\ I don't like. Maybe that's part of the design.
I have to say component wise the quality is awesome. Positively royal! I have had to put it back in the ensuite for the moment.
I think footprint wise its small enough for the trains. Similar to the nipper and by design, no frame flex descending stairs. It feels strong, useful and userfriendly. Seat is truly massive. Does free stand folded in its favour. It was a bargain and should serve our summer train outing needs, and winter weather needs, and weekend beach forest needs v well.
Can't wait to try it out off road!
Love the urban colour too plus bag was included.

MonkeyJuice · 09/11/2011 09:16

Am glad I ordered the carrera anniversario marine too as the slalom pro us clearly too big for a bus even folded. I think the carrera may be heavy though. Hope it has good quality ball bearing wheels.

MonkeyJuice · 09/11/2011 09:18

Fil has some industrial scales and I intend to weigh the Janes fully set up for use wheels and all at some point!

pramsgalore · 09/11/2011 09:29

monkeys, what is the basket like, is it large and easy to get to, janes are very plush and cosy, but no way are they 8kg and just don't look down at the back wheels Grin although i notice everything, wobbly wheels, wheels doing that /.....\ and squeaks, i hate prams that squeak its my pet hate.
