I once had newborn quads to look after...plus siblings...ooohh I saw a nice quad buggy the other day on a US website!

pramsgalore · 03/11/2011 09:38

i have to say i do love my orbit G1, loving the raincovers over the panniers, but why did they do them bright yellow Hmm black would have been so much better, but they do the job, i find it lovely to push, nicer to push pf, but still not bad ff, just the weight is more to the front rather than the back, but still easy to get up kerbs. Tiggy i do think you should try one the G1 is fab, although perhaps the G2 looks better, my ds fits in the seat with room to spare and its still really easy to push. although i would say it can be tippy in pf if dc leans right forward, need a bumper bar to stop her doing this, although she is learning not to Smile
still undecided wheather to get a vista, i don't really need it, but then do we all need the amount of pushchairs we have Wink i could call it my shopping pushchair and if i loved it lots i could sell the orbit Hmm would i regret selling my orbit, i would never get another, don't think i could part with my xari though, although i am going to have to remove the red seat pad, as the footmuf is too thick so dd has lost some seat depth, do you think it would be ok to use it without the seatpad with a footmuff. are you meant to remove the seatpad when you use their footmuff i don't know

Tiggywunkle · 03/11/2011 10:01

Yes, you are supposed to remove the Xari footmuff because I believe the Mima footmuff attaches in the same way the seat pad does ie using the harness connectors. My only worry would be if another footmuff slides off the seat but you can only try!
One day I will get to try an Orbit :)
Yellow raincovers? On any coloured Orbit?

I have a question I keep pondering and don't have an answer too and hope you can help with?

Why do some pushchairs have shopping trolley wheels? ie as you push them the front end sways to the left then the right and again then the left and right. It gives a wobbly swaying feeling as you push which I don't like.

I have found it on three pushchairs to date. The double BJCM (I will have to see if the 4 wheel single has it), the Qtro, and again yesterday the Air Buggy Mimi. It was a shame re the latter because it's so light to push that I may have kept it otherwise. Equally it's one reason I am looking at selling the Qtro although it's fab otherwise. Two are doubles, one is a single. Two have small air tyres at the front, the other doesn't.

One of the reasons I ask is because I wonder if it's going to be an issue with the new Baby Jogger GT? It's certainly not an issue with the Elite which drives perfectly straight. What factors do you think cause shopping trolley wheels? I can't think of any other pushchairs I have tried with it.

pramsgalore · 03/11/2011 10:05

maybe its too light on the front end, have you got buggy weights, as you could try them on and see if it still does it,

Tiggywunkle · 03/11/2011 10:22

No, I don't have any. Why would the Elite not do it though? Or the Twinner Twist? Or even the Twingo with smaller hard wheels? I expected air tyres to run straight - that was daft of me!

pramsgalore · 03/11/2011 16:49

tiggy, when is you bjcm4 due to arrive?

Tiggywunkle · 03/11/2011 17:40

Don't even ask! It was supposed to be two weeks ago, now is supposed to be ths week. But there's no sign! I will be phoning tomorrow...

Tiggywunkle · 03/11/2011 17:53

Completely off topic - I saw the Jellyfingers ads on here a while ago and bought some fabulous bed linen for a cheap price. I noticed today they have Monkey Swimmers on there at almost half price. I am testing them for a company at present and they have got my screaming terrified of water toddler from screaming blue murder in just five sessions to going on her own without arm bands to swimming lessons! I thought I would flag it up. The last items took ages to come but they did turn up.

Honeydragon · 03/11/2011 22:27

Helloooo. I tried to stay away but I'm still looking at prams. Fancy a change from the Bee from time to time so raising funds.

I have a extra set of the new Bee + wheels to sell on ebay as well, but for gods sake don't tell poor old Frigg or she'll hit me Grin

pramsgalore · 03/11/2011 22:36

i think i am going to get a vista, may hold out till jan to get the pink on black frame though, would that be the new 2012 model where the hood slides up the chassis Hmm

Tiggywunkle · 03/11/2011 22:45

Pink on black sounds lovely. Strangely one of the first things I looked for was how to move the hood up. That sounds like a positive change. I would think the black / pink will be the new model? It's only just been previewed Hmm
What are you hankering after Honey? I think you are safe from Frigg at the minute. She was enjoying her new wheels yesterday.

Honeydragon · 03/11/2011 22:47

I thought the slidy hood was cool Blush

Tiggywunkle · 03/11/2011 22:54

The slidy hood is one of the features I like best about the Peach.

Honeydragon · 03/11/2011 22:56
Tiggywunkle · 03/11/2011 22:58

OK Suzie I know you are around somewhere! Why is the Donkey the best pushchair? Why is it better than anything else? I need convincing....

pramsgalore · 03/11/2011 22:59

i hope the pink don't get delayed, as i doubt i could wait longer, i am not good at waiting for something, i am very much a want it now type of person Blush

Honeydragon · 03/11/2011 23:00

I saw my first one in RL rather than in store last week, it was A LOT nippier and slimmer than I thought it would be.

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 03/11/2011 23:44

i do LOVE my vista

it is officially the best pushchair i have ever had...i cannot wait for the piggyback to arriveGrin

but i do want something tiny but not shite for public transport and flinging in the car when i go out with my parents/friends...it wont get used that much as we dont have a car,and i walk everywhere really,
so i cant justifiy a bee+....can i?
what else can i get?

Tiggywunkle · 03/11/2011 23:49

A NOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiggywunkle · 03/11/2011 23:51

They are under £120 on Ebay at the minute! Its probably the most useful little pushchair I have owned. Its not one I would want to walk with every day but its handy to stick in a corner in the car. I love the one handed fold and unfold with a child tucked under your arm. Its comfy, good recline, good hood for a small pushchair, decent storage if you pack it well. Nice and bouncy ride and all round a good egg :o

pramsgalore · 03/11/2011 23:52

noa, uppababy g-luxe

Honeydragon · 03/11/2011 23:54

Frigg, I like my Bee+ for the simple reason that it is small in the car on the rare occasions I use it and that is a good thing when shopping as I am always surprised how much I have shoved into the basket Grin

I like knowing that it is nippy enough to chuck on the bus if I have walked into town and then wind up busing it back.

The only thing at present I'd consider swappiing it for is to try the Flyer. And I have forgiven it for hurting my dd now Sad

....possibly a 4 wheel bjcm too

Tiggywunkle · 04/11/2011 00:00

I did love my Takoff too - I would consider getting another...

MonkeyJuice · 04/11/2011 06:49

Micralite superlite classic Friggfrigg. Because after the vista the manoyverability on other buggies will compare unfavourably...apart from the Micralite which is also superb.
My two sets of off road wheels have arrived though the Micralite is now delayed til end of Nov.
I will then sell my bjcm and senzz. Maybe even the BJ summit too, as ill have the Micralite atk for country walks.

suzie38 · 04/11/2011 07:34

Tiggy The Donkey is the best for me because it literally pushes itself...It's big, bulky and heavy to lift but it's light as a feather to push...Can only think it's down to 4 large air tyres as there's definetely no hidden suspension...Then i love the chunky handle and the fact it can go so low like a Bee Plus...To be honest the Cameleon is a tad high and i'm pretty sure the generation 1, went lower and it feels too 'bony'...Basket is fantastic as DD likes to take a number of toys out with her plus obviously i can get a lot of shopping in it.
