Oyster footmuff advice please!

Hi,
I'm expecting my first in Jan and wanting to wrap it up as warm as possible. I'm thinking about buying the Babystyle Oyster. I emailed the Oyster manufacturers who told me that the footmuff is not appropriate for use with the carrycot or car seat - has anyone else had a winter baby with the Oyster and how did you manage with the cold? Does a universal footmuff like the Claire de Lune go with the car seat and carrycot?

Thanks in advance for any advice it would be much appreciated.

I didn't have an Oyster, but I just wrapped blankets around my daughter in her carrycot. She would be wearing a snowsuit too so that's more than enough. The apron on the carrycot will keep warmth in too. Just make sure you remove everything when you go inside so your baby doesn't overheat.

There are loads of wraps like this on the market that are good for using in carseats. Or use a carseat footmuff like this.

Just use blankets.

The oyster car seat comes with an apron doesn't it? Look here.

But that might be a bit thin, it'd be good to look at it in real life if you can. Then if the baby is in a snowsuit or has a blanket as well that should be fine.
