Nipper 360 or mountain buggy swift

Have decided to get a 3 wheeler pushchair and it is between the new nipper 360 and the swift.Just wondered has anyone got any experience of these 2 pushchairs? Also how do you find 3 wheelers compared to 4 wheelers? Have had a mamas and papas Sola for past 9 month and had a few issues with it so don't want to make another mistake.

I started to write a reply but then deleted it! Honestly...I wouldn't get either. I would get a Baby Jogger Elite. It offers far more for the passenger and parent.

But re the two you have listed. The Swift handle is low - I don't know how far the new Nipper handle goes up. I have only used the old Nipper but if you have a child that needs to be reclined then on the old Nipper and the Swift the fabric bunches up behind the child's head and back when you sit them upright. The storage on the Nipper is much better although you had to buy a basket on the old version. If pushed I would get the new Nipper. But there are better off roaders out there. I have just got an Easywalker Qtro because I like the stability of four wheels, and it's fab. Easywalker do the Sky too.

Personally I think the MB swift is fabulous. Have had it since birth with DD who is now over one. We considered the Nipper as it is cheaper but with a winter baby I was quite keen on the carrycot for the first six months as it also meant baby was facing me at the beginning. The swift is also narrower than the Nipper which makes is great for London buses and small shops. I am 5ft6in and Dh 6ft and we think the handle is absolutely fine. The fabric bunching doesn't bother me or DD at all, I just know to sort it out.
That being said if you're looking for a three wheeler post newborn stage 9so wouldn't need the carrycot) and you're not bothered about a couple of extra cm in width, I would buy the Nipper as it is cheaper and does the job of the Swift.

i have a nipper and love it, no problems with the fabric bunching up behind their heads or antyhing, i can push it fine and i am 5 2 and so can dp who is 6ft, we love it, its so lightweight and a breeze to push etc, even with ds4 sat on the footboard whilst dd is in the pushchair!

i have used the nipper on buses, trains, the underground and across muddy fields, in snow etc and it really is great, i actually have a bugaboo as well, but use the nipper nearly all the time as it is so good to push and it does lie completely flat for a baby/toddler to sleep in :)

my babies have always been big and there is plenty of room in the seat for even a large toddler, infact ds3 who is 6 has sat in it occasionally and its fine for him and he is tall!

New nipper arrived last week and it's fab, very light and every bit as good as the baby jogger summit xc I had

We have the MB Swift and love it. It's lovely to push and easy to fold/unfold. It weighs about 9kg I think so isn't too heavy to lift, although I think the nipper is about 7kg so this may help your decision if you want something lightweight. We have had it from birth for our DD so had the carrycot initially. It's great around town aswell as off-road.

The fabric does bunch up when the seat is pushed back up from recline but it doesn't really bother us or our DD. We always have the MB sleeping bag/liner on the seat so don't see the fabric. Handle isn't too low for us either (I'm 5ft 5 and DH is 5ft 11) - we have it on a mid setting.

I've never used a nipper but they look nice too!

Thank you for all your replies.I don't have any local stockists of both pushchairs so it will be an online purchase so all information is appreciated. With the 3 wheels do any of you find them a bit tippy? I saw a couple of demo videos for MB and nipper and I was surprised that the recline mechanism was just a strap,how do you find that? Do you carry puncture repair kits about with you? Sorry with all the questions but I am an all terrain,3 wheeler virgin!

The strap recline is fine on both - strap reclines are good because you can position the child where you like, and they are silent reclines. However the issue for me is pulling the seat upright again. With the Baby Joggers the excess fabric needed for the recline bunches up outside the seat. With say an Easywalker, the excess fabric forms neat folds which Velcro together. But with both the Nipper and Swift, the fabric bunches up inside behind the child's head. The Nipper is easier to sort out with a child in the seat. But I am not keen on the mesh behind the child's hood on the Nipper. I like a child to be as warm as possible through our winters. I would slime your tyres against punctures. I usually slime all air tyres. The Elite has non puncture air tyres. I personally do find three wheelers tippy - if I can buy four wheelers then I always will. I notice the tipping if I stop and try to go again, or need to turn the pushchair tight away from me eg when moving away from the car after putting the child in.

I loved my nipper. No problems with recline. I thought it was a bit lazy of the manufacturer at first and didn't really like the design but didn't even give it a thought when I had it.

For the wheels. Buy a product called slime and put it in the wheels when you get the buggy. When you get a puncture you simply pump it up again and the slime repairs the hole.

i havent had a problem with punctures, but i do have a very small pump i carry in the pushchair so i have it if i need it, never have yet.

i dont find it tippy at all.

strap recline is fine, just unclip if you want it totally flat or pull and loosen to just recline a bit and i can do it back up easily enough.

I had my nipper for a week before selling it on as ds who is 2.9 was so tall in it when he fell asleep and i reclined him (which he does still do in teh buggy - his head was at right angles to his neck as the seat was so short there wasn't room for him.

Lovely pram if you have a small LO or one that will not sleep in the buggy- else I'd look for something else (my SIL had a Baby Jogger Summit and it was totallyl lush - but too wide for me to use as wouldn't fit into nursery :()

Hevster,how do find the new nipper compared with the baby jogger summit? Ds is just 11 months now but he is above average in size.Is there plenty of room in the nipper seat.The lightness of the nipper is very appealing,the summit specs have it at 11kilos.Looks big in pics.

I have a Nipper, no problems with fabric bunching up, it gathers up outside the seat. Very easy to steer, not tippy at all. Great for beach, goes really well even on sand. Seat is massive, my toddler still has masses of room.

I have the MB swift and after some issues getting hold of one in the colour I wanted, I LOVE it!! I have a newborn and use the phil and teds vibe cocoon (ebay 2nd hand) in it and it works very well. I also have a quinny footmuff in black I also got on ebay and that works equally well.
This is my 4th DC and my fifth pushchair and its the best. Nice and narrow too for country paths and shops. The fold is reasonably compact for an all terrain, but its nice and light to lift into the car.
I also have a quinny Zapp faithfully still going since DC2 and I use that with the Maxi cosi car seat for zipping in and out of the school etc.
