Returning an online order?

has anyone ever ordered a pushchair online in the knowledge that you will return it? Am thinking about ordering a pushchair that isn't stocked in any of my local stores - so I can have a 'play' with it in the comfort of my living room. However, if I'm honest, I'm probably going to buy one second hand from ebay.
Obviously I will incur a courier charge for return of the pushchair - but don't mind this as it's certainly cheaper than petrol to a store further afield!

so..... Has anyone done this & which online store did you use? Was it a no-quibble return?

i think i am right in saying, a shop does not have to refund just because you changed your mind, alot do, but it would have to be in its box as recieved, you need to double check and check again on there return policies, argos do a no quibble return and i think boots do, but not sure, but you would have to be very carefull not to assemble anything that could not be disassembled without damage. i would'nt, what pushchair are you looking at, someone on here may have owned one or have one already and can answer any questions

agree boots and argos both fab at returns. Rarely check over, and you can take back to store. you can return to store at mothercare too for online orders.

Boots are fab. I have had to pay to return Mothercare orders. Boots sent a courier. Tesco are good too.

A return courier charge could easily be £20 and then if you have the tiniest Mark or damage on it they might not refund. Are you really really far from a shop? And if it's not right for you, will you then have to do the same, spending even more money? If you're not ridiculously far I'd just go to a shop and try that and other pushchairs.

(FWIW i'm a bit biased as I come from a business where people do this and it's extreeeeemely irritating. In our case things are made for them but in a pushchair company's case they may be ordering them and then have to wait for someone else to order it.)
