Double pushchair for Newborn & Toddler

Hi

I am pregnant with #2 and ds will be 23 months when I'm due.

I have been looking at double pushchairs as I think my ds will still be too young for buggy board and what about long days out, naps etc so I want a double pushchair.

The only thing is I can't find one which ticks all my boxes of what I want from it so I thought I would see if anyone from Mumsnet can help me out with suggestions :)

I want a Tandem one but not the phil & teds style ones where you have one child below the other behind. I want them at equal height. I want to be able to have the baby facing me and my ds facing forward but I am still able to recline him if he is asleep.

I need it to be carseat isofix compatable. I would like suspension and air filled tyres but I don't want a 3 wheeler.

I would also like to have a proper adjustable footrest and not the metal bar type ones which go all around the pushchair (if that makes sense!).

I need to have big seats for my ds as alot I have looked at have small seats.

The closest one I have found is the bebecar one & two but the carseat is not isofix and the tyres don't appear to be air filled.

Is there a double that covers this or am I expecting too much!

Honestly I don't think it exists! Sorry! It's exceedingly hard to even get close to your / anyones perfect double without asking for the combination you want! You will have to compromise!

this, the only box it don't tick is air tyres, but the wheels are large and it has all round suspension

Do you need it for offroad or cobbles? Or just around the city? Do you go up and down kerbs much? Why do you need isofix? If it's not due to buckle crunch then I wouldn't worry about it-it's no safer then using a seatbelt.

I think youll struggle to find anything like that tbh.

Have you looked at a Briatx B Dual, based a bit around the P&T but has 4 wheels and both seats fully recline.

Have a looksee at the FirstWheels City Twin.

Have you looked at the Jane Powertwin? It's a 3 wheeler, but it receives some really good reviews so I wouldn't let that put you off.
