Which phil and teds?

I'm hoping you might be able to help me. We have just found out we're pregnant with dc4 and so far have managed to escape having a double by using a sling and a single but these 2 dc will have only a 20 month gap between them and will be doing 2 or 3 school runs between them!
I love the phil and teds prams and am probably going to buy a second hand one but which model would you recommend?
I will probably use a sling and single on buses and tubes( we're in london) but would still prefer compact in terms of width.

the verve is the best one, but if you are buying second hand, then go for a sport its not as plush and has less features, but its still a good p&t model
pramsgalore · 27/09/2011 19:42
although their new one may be out by the time you need one, see other thread for details

With the 2 wheels on the front does it not make it wider?
pramsgalore · 27/09/2011 20:09
not that i have noticed, it is more stable with 4 wheels
pramsgalore · 27/09/2011 20:10
thinking about it it must be a tad wider, but like i said i have not noticed

I will keep my eyes out for one out and about and see if I like it.
We won't be buying one for at least 6- 7 months so they may come about second hand by then.

i have the hammerhead and i have had most models except the dash and the new verve in the past, the hammerhead is the most stable i have had, the four wheels make a big difference, i also think its not as long as the wheels are smaller and it doesnt make it any wider. the only thing that used to bug me about the new style p&t's are the hoods, they would constantly pop off but when it went back to have the new brake fitted as part of the recall they sorted out the hood and now it doesnt pop off. i would recommend getting a handle cover from bellasbuggybags from e-bay as the handle foam is easily damaged
