Buying a BJCM double - Ebay or wait for the sales?

I'm a wee bit torn.

The BJCM double is the pram for us i've decided, but when to buy? Baby isn't due until Feb so is it better to wait for the January sales to buy a new one, or bag a bargain preloved one on ebay? What do you think?

hmmm,boots sale in particular can be really good,so maybe wait....
it'll only take a few days to deliver (at most),and you wont be going out much in the first week or so,probably

I would buy new, especially from the sales. Agree, Boots have a great sale in January, and IIRC, Februaryish is the time new models of prams come out, so you could get an absolute bargain.

Ooh yes, I second Boots.

Back in early December 2008 I got a Maclaren Quest for £67. They sell them for in Boots for £140 at the moment! I think the RRP at the time was about £110 or £120 even then so it was a huge bargain.

MIL has offered to give us some money towards it (i think she might have been having a turn, though) so with what i'll have saved, fingers crossed i'll get a bargain!

I would say wait, but not until January. Just look out for the next good offer you can spot eg last week Tesco had 25% off. It also depends if you want a BJ carrycot for baby because you may have to pay more to check you get a 2011 version.
