What was this pram that I spotted??
harassedandherbug · 18/08/2011 16:24
It began with an M, but couldn't get close enough to see.......
It was quite high up, and looks similar to the Mutsy 4 Rider. But it isn't one of those. The seat part looked quite new and modern, almost egg shaped.
Any ideas??
It was really lovely, please let it be in my budget! I thought I was convinced on a 2nd hand Bug, but this has swayed me.
titferbrains · 18/08/2011 16:33
is it this one?
I tried it out in John lewis and my dd's head was touching the hood. She is on around 7th percentile for height and that was at age 2.9yo. I was choosing for new baby and occasional use for Dd so I ruled that one out. Very smart pram but a shame about size. I've gone for an Uppababy Vista.
harassedandherbug · 18/08/2011 16:38
That was it!! Thank you. Isn't it gorgeous.....
Unfortunately (or fortunately in dh's eyes) it's too much money, and you'd want it to really last until you don't need a buggy for that money and doesn't sound like it will. What a shame!
titferbrains · 18/08/2011 16:40
oh sorry it doesn't work for you. I have to say I was very surprised that it didn't fit DD. Other people have raved about it on here!
titferbrains · 18/08/2011 16:41
They do a double one which might work? Still quite pricey tho, I agree.
pramsgalore · 18/08/2011 16:45
i have a xari, the seat is fine, my dd is 2 years and 10 months and she fits in it fine with room to grow [shes not big) but it will last her, it is lovely, lovely to push, it just glides along, its a stunning pram
Tiggywunkle · 18/08/2011 16:59
This is my tall (over 90th centile) daughter aged 2 and a half in the Mima Kobi. She still had several cms for growth and the hood easily removes after that. The Kobi is one awesome pushchair...there is nothing else like it on the market....the quality is outstanding and the pushability is superb.

You can buy them cheaper from other countries. Prams' one is white, which is even more gorgeous in my opinion! And you can get lots of seat pad colour options abroad too. They're only for sale in John Lewis here and only in either dark grey on a silver chassis or silver on a black chassis. And only black or red seat pads. Go and have a look properly if you can.
harassedandherbug · 18/08/2011 17:22
Actually we're off to JL on Sunday! What a coincidence . Although it was to make sure that dh agrees with the Bug rather than brainwash him into spending loads more than we planned....
suzie38 · 18/08/2011 17:24
Not every JL is selling them at the moment...Nottingham isn't for example...BIG GRR!!!
harassedandherbug · 18/08/2011 17:25
I'm going to Southampton. Fingers x'd!
Although it may be better for us financially if I don't fall in love with it.
aswellasyou · 18/08/2011 17:27
If you change your mind, it's £695 +£20P&P here and use the code VXY6-34D2-DW77 to get £26 off. It comes with the footmuff, unlike the ones sold in JL, but you would need to buy a Starter Pack (they're £95 in JL). That would cost £784 altogether. I'm guessing that's well over budget though if you were looking at a second hand Bugaboo of some form.
suzie38 · 18/08/2011 17:30
aswellasyou Can you put the proper website please as for some reason i can't open those kind of links at the moment.
aswellasyou · 18/08/2011 17:34
Of course, here you are... www.ebaby.co.uk/mima/pushchair-carriage-xari-mima.html or copy and paste it www.ebaby.co.uk/mima/pushchair-carriage-xari-mima.html
You will get one one day suzie! You can't keep fighting it.
suzie38 · 18/08/2011 17:36
Thanks...I know but it'd better be better than the Donkey!!!
pramsgalore · 18/08/2011 17:38
not as much space for shopping, the baskets are alright but not huge, the front fits the raincover, not one for shopping!!!!!
suzie38 · 18/08/2011 17:41
If i get one then i'm buying Joolz XL bag to hook on the back as both have similar shaped frames so with luck it'd work out.
suzie38 · 18/08/2011 17:42
Plus for bits and bobs i tend to hang a Bagabottle off the handle.
pramsgalore · 18/08/2011 17:43
yes, i have a parent organiser on mine and a mb bottle holder
suzie38 · 18/08/2011 17:43
pramsgalore · 18/08/2011 17:49
they look fab, but i can not find anyone online who will sell them online, will have a look when away or will have to phone them when back, but def want it
aswellasyou · 18/08/2011 17:51
prams, I think it's just that Joolz don't allow sellers to publish their prices. I'm sure if you call up, they'll do the payment over the phone for you.
